Here are some from my book club that I enjoyed:
I did love, The Time Traveler's Wife as well.
The Poisonwood Bible
The Dogs of Babel
The Secret Life of Bees
I've loved all of the Jodi Piccoult's book also.

hey kathy K the poison wood bible was tath on one of oprahs book list a few years ago i think i read it was it about a minister who went over seas with his family

Is this a book club or do we just suggest books that we find are good? I will have to get the book I just read and recommend it, it was the best book ever and had me up all Monday night reading it, hated to put it down to go to work:(

dilnatmom- we're just suggesting books to each other here.
if you're interested in an online book club, mellymel has one here.
i just finished jesus land- a memoir of a white girl growing up in the 70s whose parents adopted 2 black boys.
very interesting- her parents are very very very into their religion, and end up sending them to a religious camp in D.R.
after i finished it, it took me a while to process- there's so much going on.

Yep, The Poisonwood Bible was an Oprah book. I don't always like her books, but I loved (before it was a movie) The Deep End of the Ocean and I Know this Much is True

I second the Jodi Picoult books..I've read them all, loved them all and will read them again!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVED I know this much is true..seriously deep, but awesome.
I just started the Kite Runner. Interesting. I see the movie is coming out also!!
