I AM going through some side effects which will get better, but it really does effect me more than I was hoping. If you were like me and don't know what Byetta was, it's an injection for Diabetics. I don't have diabetes, but I'm a candidate for taking the injections. The medication is created from the saliva of the Komodo dragon...my doctor told me this after talking about it, consenting to blood work, and then right when she's writing me the prescription...I thought OMG!!!! What have I agreed to try?!! I don't know if I can inject myself with dragon spit...that stuff is lethal. Amazing that they ever discovered this for a diabetes in the first place. Just curious if any others out there injecting and to see how your side effects leveled out.

He probably should be taking insulin but can't have his CDL (license to drive dumptruck) if he is on insulin so he takes Byetta and a diabetes pill. As long has he is eating right (which is rarely), it regulates his sugar. As of side effects, I have not heard of him having any. He is a medical mess- diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, you name it. Good Luck!
