i feel just... i have no patience, no energy... i have time to scrap but i don't want to. and it's scaring me! i know it's probably got something to do with my meds, but i just really don't much care right now about anything. i've been watching some tv and reading but i can't do those for long either.

i'm going to scrap mania tomorrow night with michelle and i'm afraid that i'll just not do anything! :( :(

I go through these stages too. Actually, I went through it for over a month and it just broke last week. I wanted to scrap, but couldnt. I wanted to watch TV but got restless sitting there. I wanted to go out, but didnt want to get all done up. etc.

Hopefully hangin' out with some friends will break you out of this funk.

Some of the most fun crops I've been too were the ones where I didn't accomplish much. Maybe just take along one or two simple projects, or a coloring book. I know that sounds retarded, but coloring always cheers me up and it's pretty low key. Plus, crayons smell good.

Um....if you're not gonna get much done might I suggest a six pack instead of the coloring book!

Just kidding...my sister loves to color...and she's a grown up!!!

Does it have to be one or the other?

i never want to scrapbook. like never ever ever ever. i get those random 5 minutes where i'll be like okay. i really feel like scrapbooking. but thats like once a week. gah. but i've been better lately. i've been forcing myself to do it because after a few minutes i'll start to want to scrapbook again. haha.

hopefully hanging out with scrappy friends will help, even if you don't get anything done.

whenever i don't have the energy to scrap, i bring out the sketches and literally follow them like a recipe - it's kinda therapeutic to not have to think and actually accomplish something.

hope you have fun tomorrow!

i am in a funk too Elly! i. just. can't. do. it.
its crazy! i had soo much time tonight to work on a mini i started the other day but i just couldn't i have so much to get done i think that's creating a block for me.
But don't sweat it. maybe your brain is telling you that you need a break
it will come back and you will be wowing everyone again.

It's OK not to feel like scrapping! Just relax and have some fun!

mew..

here is a mojo poem for you.

By the powers of Greyskull and all that stuff
put magic in my fingers
and some other creative fluff
Let little rainbows of inspiration
flow freely from the sky
give my brain something to focus on
like monkies, apples or pie
Fuel my inner scrapper
with dreams of paper tearing
Allow me to be inspired
from the boots that I may be wearing
send up all good vibes
from the tips of my piggy toes
Intervene with fabulous thoughts
so that everyone soon knows
that scrapping is my passion
my creative outlet-yes my vice
I really need to get scrappin
because the release just feels so nice.

That little mantra will help you.
and if it doesnt..
perhaps Going out and taking a random photo of the 1st blue thing you see
will work.

Well, if it's any encouragement, I did some of my very favorite pages at a crop I felt absolutely no creativity at! My sister and I went and we kept giving challenges to each other and every time I look back at the pages it makes me so happy because I pushed myself out of my funk and into a very fun creative place.

Just go and have fun...you never know what might happen :)

i definitely go through these funky phases.
I call it LIFE! You'll get past it - you have too much ultra coolness inside to keep it bottled up for long!

Trynity that poem is grand!

Def-the phase is normal, I get it too, esp b/c I really dont have anyone close to me who scraps...But I love the advice here elly! Following a sketch or scraplifting is a good idea-I LOVE THE POEM, Tryn, thats fantabulous! And, I agree, just bring with whatever you like, and see what happens! Im sure you will do something great, with all the inspiration Im sure you will encounter! Good luck, dear!

i feel just... i have no patience, no energy... i have time to scrap but i don't want to. and it's scaring me! i know it's probably got something to do with my meds,

I totally second that ! I have an album to make for my colleague who just had a baby (well, his GF had the baby really, we don't do things that differently here ! lol ! ), and on top of that they like the classical look and subtle Liberty designs. HTH am I supposed to do that ? lol !

But for me I think it has to do with NOT being on my meds. I've been in the middle of a depressive phase with anguishes, but as my usual Dr is sick, I'm reluctant to go for some meds.

Maybe you should try and do another kind of creative outlet and that should get you ready for scrap. In between I do necklaces and jewelry for people, and it kinda gets me back on the tracks.

I know that sounds retarded, but coloring always cheers me up and it's pretty low key.
Hey, why do you think these new prima pp appeal to us?!

By the powers of Greyskull and all that stuff
Well, if that doesn't get you started !
