So yes... I just got a sewing machine... and I have so many ideas... what do you create? Is your sewing room combined with your scrapbooking room? Do you have a dress form? Where do you get your fabrics? Do you know of any really cool sites that sell neato fabrics?
Hugs! Nan

My mom taught me how to sew... I created scrunchies (i know right!), and then blankets... (just easy squares sewed together). I took a class in college and totally made some cute stuff...
I just got ... THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE! and am so excited to go get fabric and then create some stuff...
I hope that helps... Andrea

I'm a sew-er too. I go through phases of sewing a lot and then burn out for a while and put the machine aside.
My stepdaughter horseshows and I make her costumes.
I've bought some cute fabric through etsy and reprot depot that KL mentioned is really good.
Good luck!

I'm definitely a sew-er (mostly a quilter). I find lots of inspiration all over the internet on people's blogs and such. My favorite sewing mag is Quilting Arts (art quilts) and I do most of my shopping in person at my local quilt show or at fabric shops in the garment district.

i sew, and have my machine next to me on my table i scrap at, in the scrap/spare/sewing room.
i make felt stufies, quilts, and purses, ds covers, stuff like that. no clothing, unless you count cat clothing from reconstructed kids clothes! haha i dont use patterns either just cut and sew :D much like the way i scrap haha.
oh and yeah a COOL PLACE FOR FABRIC IS ETSY!! especially if you love michael miller, as its rather cheap there, and also cute japanese fabric, which is awesome!! or check out your craft store, not sure what its like where you live but we have spotlight here and its massive :D

Try ebay for fabric too. I sew some, I like to make tote bags. Also google A Dress A Day. She likes retro patterns more than me!!
