I don't think you'll have trouble. In fact, from what I hear, it's just the opposite. My friend Karen absolutely loves what she can do with photos on her MacBook.

Your dh must have racked up a ton of brownie points for getting you a great gift like that!!! Is he always this good to you, lol?

There are a few VERY minor things to get used to, but the Mac is so sweet and user friendly, it's like making a new friend, not trying to figure out a whole new system.

The thing that was most frustrating for me was the iphoto...it seemed like with a p.c. you didn't always have to move stuff around like you do with Mac. My sister thinks I'm crazy to be irritated at times with it b/c she's a total Mac girl, but it just takes some getting used to.

Don't get nervous, just play around, you will be so, so happy you made the switch (enjoy making friends with you new Mac)

ditto...this is what i'm finding most frustrating...but i hear that the leopard update is so much better (& you probably have that already on yours)...i've just gotta load my leopard up

i think i just have to sit down & figure it out & all will be fine...
but i tend to just bang away & curse...
i'm the read directions last kinda gal....lol

Mac Rocks!

It's hard to explain but it just does stuff that the PC doesn't.

I *heart* MAC.

I highly suggest you go to the Apple Store and take one of their little courses. There are tricks that make the mac so amazing that you can not do on a pc and switching can be difficult. After awhile though you will never know how you were a pc user for so long. =)

The switch to iphoto is a challenge, easier now with the newer iphoto

i love my mac.
there were a few things that took some getting used to.
i got a laptop, so the no-right-click thing was what took me forever to figure out. but, just play around and you'll figure stuff out.

i switched recently as well and certainly it is not "seamless" per se, but it is definitely worth it once you get the hang of it!! i cannot even stand to get on a PC now!!! just play around and be patient and ask lots of ?'s...at least that is what i did. and of course, all of your SiSters here are more than generous and willing to help you out!!!
have fun!!
you will love it!!!!
