it has knocked out our power, and it is about 18 degrees feeling like it is only 1 degree! Brr...plus with the full moon, the cats are bouncing off the walls! Oy, I love Chicago! But of course, if we don't have power by noon, we are going to miss the Bears/Packers game today!!! Hope the rest of my Chicago SISters have power! xoxo :)

You got that right, Korbyn. The weather sucks today. What a difference a day makes. The trees are all leaning and blowing around and the ice/snow is beginning to fall. all the little kiddies slept in our room last night because they were afraid of the noise the wind was making. At least, we still have power. Make sure you get somewhere warm if your power's out and if you have nowhere to go, you can always come on over to my place and we can scrap while the Bears game is on. ........okay, I just realized that if Korbyn's power is out, there's no way she can read this. :)

Ohhh, my baby sister got out just in time, she came home for the holidays (yippee, so glad to see her) I hope they'll get the power back on for you all soon and the weather will let up a little.

eek! right now we have ice on everything. instead of snowing like it was supposed to, it RAINED and then froze. my dad couldn't get his car open this morning!

Holy hell . . . we're having crazy wind today, too. I didn't go to bed until 2am (cuz I was wrapping presents) and right after that, the wind kicked in . . . and kept me up. Grrrrr. I'm afraid to go outside today! My DH tried sending the 6 year old out to the mailbox to get the newspaper, and I told her she'd end up in Lake Michigan! The wind would pick her up!!
We didn't get snow, either, Elly. I'm bummed. I kind of wanted a fresh coating for Christmas!
Korbyn, if you don't get power, you can always come up here to Packer's country! I'll let you watch the game at my house!!! (Go Pack!)

we have power!!!! right after I posted this thread my laptop ran out of juice!! Just got some Sbucks and headed back here, and they were turning on the power!! Yippee!! :) Thanks for the offer Diana, that would have been a blast!! :) The wind has died down from 50+ mph to 20-30 mph and the snow has pretty much stopped, the crazy part is yesterday morning we had 1/2 foot of snow, but with all of the rain and 40 degree weather yesterday, we now have none!!! I can't believe we are going to have a brown Christmas!! Ah well, :)
