It is 94.9 KLTY It is a Christian radio station and they are awesome. Well, each year they do something called Christmas Wish. What happens is, people write the station a letter nominating someone they know who is in desperate need or just in need during the Christmas season and KLTY gets these family the help they need. They had a lady (#1) on there this morning who nominated her friend (#2) who has a child who is very very sick and in the hospital and this family has no money at all and will be struggleing during Christmas. So KLTY decides to help them and suprises lady #2 with a phone call. Lady #2 is crying and they get lady #1 on the phone. It is such a touching moment. So Frank, the radio jockey tells lady #1 that because of her thoughtfulness, one of HER friends nominated her for Christmas Wish as well. Apparently Lady #1 has a daughter in the hospital too and the little girl has spent most of her life in the hospital and she was going to be there over Christmas and the dad is a truck driver so that he can help make ends meet and so Lady #1, the mom, stays at the hospital with daughter and bears all of this on her own. So basically both of these ladys got a suprise this morning and KLTY gave each family $3000 for Christmas gifts. I think I cried forEVER! So I hope the story was not too confusing, but if you love heart warming things like this, go to the KLTY website and you can listen to the station live online, or you maybe able to hear some of the recordings. It is so special and just reminds me of how giving people are. Listening to these Christmas Wishes have blessed me everyday and I hope they can be a blessing to you! They do that on a station here too, and it breaks my heart so often to hear some of the stories. it is really powerful what people will do for their friends even when they themselves need the help sometimes too!
