so our light fixture in the kitchen (which wasn't very bright anyway) started going out on us this week and j just replaced the entire fixture with a much bigger BRIGHTER fixture and OMG!!!
it is SO BRIGHT!!
not only does it look like the sun is shining directly through my ceiling BUT evidently we can't mop our floors worth a darn b/c my wood laminate is covered in dust and i won't even tell you how bad the corners look!!
every speck of dust is showing!!
and the cabinets need painting, lol!

I keep picturing you walking around with your eyes squinted, because it's so bright!! lol

Well if you need shades in the house...you could always get lower wattage bulbs!! Or put in a dimmer.....

totally true!!
i seriously think i'm gonna have to wear shades to do the dishes!
you could always get lower wattage bulbs
the next time j is at lowe's it's on his list!!

That's funny. Kind of stinks. Who wants the dirt to show so well?!?
I've been complaining about the recessed lights in our kitchen...."I need better lighting (whine, whine)".....
But, I think I'll let it go. I DO NOT want the dirt showing too well. eep!

Stacy...don't you know that it's key to always keep your lighting low...in all areas of the house...everything looks super clean in low light. :)

i told j that now i understand why bars and restaraunts are so dimly lit......it's so you don't see all of the dirt, lol i thought it was for ambiance!!

there is a reason i keep my curtains closed all of the time!
and i think bars and restaurants are poorly lit for beer goggle action as opposed to cleanliness. ;)

true dat...LOL, but most of these fine establishments are probably hiding the fungus growing around the beer taps as well.

Dressing rooms lit up like the middle of the sun are the worst! I think they should just give you a flashlight.
