Today just couldn't get any worse, my truck is sitting in my driveway not driveable, DH just looked at the break lines, and it's not a quick fix like he thought is was, looks like all of it needs to be replaced, not just the part he was hoping for. THEN.... DH calls me from work and says something is wrong with his transmission and he can't drive home!!! WTH!!! (luckily he was able to drive a work truck home) He and my BIL went up and looked at his truck tonight and something is seriously wrong with that!!! Merry Christmas to us!!! Now we have no car that is running and a mechanic that needs to be called!!
This sucks!!!!!

OMG..I hope things get better!
My thoughts are with you.
We just had a part replaced on our furnace last weekend $550.
GOOD LORD. There went our extra Cmas money.

Oh yeah . . . when it rains, it pours. We just forked over $250 for my son to take his Black Belt test (Tae Kwon Do). And another $1000 to renew his contract with the school for a year. And then $200 for a plumbing repair. Oh yeah . . . the heat in my fan is completely shot, so that'll have to be fixed soon. Add Christmas into the mix, and I'm a bit stressed! LOL!
I hope you get your vehicles fixed!

That totally sucks! We had the same situation a few years ago with both of our cars and the batteries being DEAD!
And........there was like ten inches of snow! I know your pain and I know it sucks! I hope that things get better for you soon!

Ohhh....sorry to hear it.
Last xmas we got ourselves two things....a new A/C unit..$5,000....and some plumbing work....$5,000. OUCH!
The year before that we replaced the other A/C unit.....$5,000. waaahhhh
Merry Freakin' Christmas to us!
This xmas is actually financially mellow in comparison....unless something breaks between now and the 25th!

My Explorer was towed to a local garage this morning and the guy said if the break line just has one leak it will only cost about 65$!!! That would be sooooo wonderful!!
We haven't decided what to do with Rob's Suburban yet. He did talk to a mechanic and explained the problem, and he said it sounded like the transfer case and not the transmission. I don't know a thing about cars, but it just sounds better than a new transmission!!
So we'll keep our fingers crossed and see if we can get lucky twice!!

This is when I think we regret giving up on public transportation the most (especially here in Michigan).
Best of luck to you SOON...my MIL was in a (minor) accident last week, and I have not been able to volunteer at my daughter's school because my MIL can't get out here to babysit the little guy while I'm gone.
I hate car problems.
