My mom and I have our annual tradition of cookie baking day the last weekend before Christmas...but this year it might need to be mid week...anyways, we do a ton, spend from like 10 a.m. until after dinner..we make:
snowballs chocolate balls sugar cookies jelly cookies greek powdered sugar cookies (can't for the life of me spell the name LOL,these are my girlfriends recipe..sooo yummy!) spritz pecan puffs pepperkakor (swedish cookie)
I also make some homemade hot chocolate mix and make the cocoa cones for my daughters friends

I haven't even thought about it yet!!!
Always do sugar cookies, but we switch it up each year. I did find some things that look good on www.thenorthpole.com. But really haven't decided yet!

I also have a secret FABULOUS cut out cookie recipe.
My mom goes all out and makes fudge in a few flavors, peanut brittle divinity (BLECH!) Manger animals peppermint bark sugar cookies and I am sure there is more but I haven't been home for Christamas in 4 years so I can't remember.
The craziest part is that she can't eat ANY of this.........she is allergic to EVERYTHING and sugar is top!

I am so not a baker! I love all the goodies of Christmas, but I just don't have the patience to make them myself.
I did, however, sign up for a cookie swap. I don't know what the HECK I was thinking on that one... Now I have to make eleven (yes I said 11) dozen cookie for the 19th. Holy crapola I am in trouble!!!

I am going to make some chocolate spoons. Melt choc (you can add liquers, flavours, etc if you want) and dip a plastic or cheap spoon into the chocolate. Wait until set and then wrap in plastic wrap. I am then going to wrap in red tulle and give to friends to stir into their hot chocolate / coffees!
Will make some shortbread too and maybe biscotti.
