This totally proves that everything happens for a reason, though. Those sunglasses that you almost didn't take probably saved your eyes from some damage!

oh my gosh!! I am so glad you are okay! what kind of car do you drive? the reason I ask is that this happened to my mother last year, but it was the back window. I know that it probably isn't too cold by you, but you said that you turned on the defrost and floorboard heat which is what caused hers!!!! Oh honey I am so glad that you wore those sunglasses and that you are okay!!! xoxox

A) jeanette gave me those sunglasses so ESSENTIALLY SIStv saved my life :)
and also
there have been lots of stories on the news here about kids shooting cars with bb guns and paintball guns. I am pretty sure that is what happened b/c it wasn't warm in my car, there wasn't even time for the heat to really work, plus my car windows didn't have any frost exceopt for the back windsheild. Anyhow, I am going to look for bb's when I clean all the glass out of my car later, since a can of exploding biscuit dough sounds a lot like a gunshot.
Also- sorry to be like 'read my blog', but i was at work and totally didnt have time to copy the pictures here!

holy poo is right! thank god you had those sunglasses on and that you stayed calm enough to get off the road. i wonder what it was though? any evidence of a rock or chunk of something in the car?

So glad that you are okay! The same thing happened to my mom. She drives a Toyota Camry. Just like you said, bam, out of nowhere her passenger window shattered everywhere. They still do not know what caused it.

first off- I am so glad that you are okay! OMGosh!!!
2nd- I really hope that this was just a freak incident and not some kids shooting BB's at your car- that is just so horrible. Thank God noone was seriously injured. I'm glad your dad was home to help you out.

It was totally freaky
I am good under pressure, but as soon as the pressure is over I FREAK out.
Once when I taught PreK a kid split his head open from his nose to his scalp and I called 911, sat there and held his head together, and then as soon as he was stitched up I walked into the hall and cried for 20 minutes straight.
But really, I have no idea how I didn't wreck. My friends here all have emailed me and asked if someone shot my window out. They must have all seen the same news story I did!!
I also, I was wearing really cute sunglasses when the whole thing went down ;)

Okay, a couple of things...
why, why, why can't children just eggs cars like in the olden days?
and thank you God for grace under pressure and cute sunglasses (and I guess JJ b/c she bought them for you, I think we need a picture of them if they made it through okay)

lol! haven't you heard that story about the woman whose biscuit dough exploded and hit her in the back of the head and when she felt back there she thought her brains were falling out? That is TOTALLY what went through my head!

OMG.... that is a horrible story, but so what I would think If that happened to me.
