Hey girls, i want to do a venison crown roast, frenched, and i've never done one before. My husband brought a deer home from montana, so i was wondering how many a crown will serve, how many are on a deer, etc. I know the butcher will know all this and i can ask then, but i wanted to knwo right now, and the butcher isnt open, lol.
Also, this isnt until Christmas, but i need to instruct the butcher on how to prepare the rack, and that will be monday.

I don't know much about venison. I know we use to make venison steak sandwiches. It is the only way I would eat venison. We would fry them in a pan with lots of onion then get some hard rolls and put hot mustard on it. They were the best!
