What are you looking for ? A novel? or something non-fiction?
A great non-fiction I just read is "The Art of Possibility" by Benjamin Zander. It was amazing!

I just read the Alchemist - not the newer one that I thought I was getting but an older book, author Boyd. It was very cool - kind of Harry Potter for grown ups. A nice mistake that I got it. Currently reading Water For Elephants, great so far.

Okay, I have to admit, I just read another mindless Nora Roberts book. My SIL thinks it's wildly funny since I was an English major. But, she was IN 9th grade English when I TAUGHT 9th grade English, so I just tell her to mind her elders. :)

The "glass Castle" by jeanette walls
It's a non-fiction memoir about a woman who grew up with very poor mentally ill parents... and was often homeless. It's the best thing I read all year.

Anyone read The Crimson Petal And The White?
I have and I loved it! My friend read it though and she didn't like it, I think it was a bit too rude for her lol. I loved how it was written, it really takes the reader back in time.

See, I like rude. Not gratuitous vulgarity but sometimes it just fits the characters/time period. Like if Tony Soprano didn't cuss? That would be stupid.
