So, I am only five weeks....pretty pumped and now starting the journey of eating better and getting a littlle more exercise. I went for a walk this afternoon and noticed that my joints where my legs and pelvis meets was a little tender, like stiff. Is this because my hips are widening?

More likely because the hormones are softening the bones. Let me google this first, but I am pretty sure this is what it is.

That helps! Mine is not severe, but just an ache, but good to know so I can keep an eye on it. Thank you so much!

calcium and folic acid!! That is important too!! Your joints are probably producing that hormone to get ready for your hips to give way!

hey hey!! i'm five weeks too and i know just what you mean about the joint pain... i read up on it a little bit and i think it is caused by the ligaments that hold your uterus in place are stretching a bit... sorry if it's TMI for some...

sorry if it's TMI for some.. Most deffinately NOT tmi! Thanks! I am trying to stretch as well. Another question here, but I really don't think it is my imagination because bras don't lie, but my ummm....2 parts of my upper body got big! I certainly do not remember that happening to me during the first pregnancy until the third trimester. Has that happened to anyone else? And I am NOT complaining! ;)

This is the story of most of my pregnancies. Yes, I used the plural there. I am now PG with #4!!! Oy! This one was a surprise though. My baby is just 8 months old. I am now 9 weeks along.
All I can say is remember to do your Kegels!!! They are hands down the most important "exercise" you can do while pregnant.

I was told by my last obgyn your body has a memory and with every consecutive pregnacy your body will move faster inot the prego mode so you will have more symtoms sooner i think it is you are more aware of what happend in your last so you feel and notice more but either way I say yippy to all the babies and to those great baby lo's
