Well, ladies . . . I'm off. To an overnight Cheerleading girl scout camp with my daughter. And 49 other screaming 7 and 8 year olds.
I volunteered for this . . . why????
Think of me, please. LOL. If they haven't commited me by morning, I'll be sure to check in tomorrow to tell you how it went! :)

hey were you drinking or on major med when you said yes??? hehehe ok so lot of asprin ear plugs and a good book! one big roll duct tape to make sure they don't escape you can tape the doors hehehehe

LOL. You ladies are crackin' me up. Especially Elly's "level of hell" comment. Indeed, my friends. Indeed.
Prior to 11pm, the "problem" was the other chaperones. Especially the Stepford Mommy. I am so not a stepford mommy. I'm the bad @$$, hip fun mommy that takes joy in doing things badly. Including cheerleeding, apparently. So, I tried to avoid the perfect mommy -- with her butt ugly mom jeans and 80's hair -- and had fun whoopin' it up with the 7 year olds. Stepford Mommy didn't appreciate my jokes about sneaking tequila into my water bottle. Sheesh.
After 11pm, the "problem" shifted to the antsy, fidgety, giggly, loud girls who didn't really want to sleep. There were only 3 beds in the "adult dorm" and there were 4 chaperones. Guess who got voted off the island. Yup. That'd be me. LOL!!
All things considered, though . . . it was a fun time. I survived. Am sleepy, but survived!

Good for you - you will always be remembered as the fun mommy, the one that made as many mistakes as your kids. Glad you had fun. =)

i totally was drinking water and it came out my nose!!
so funny and i totally agree.
but, i would totally go if my dd asked. she's 8 and her slumber party about did me in.
glad you survived pooks! stepford mommies are scary!! i'd go for cool mommy any day of the week.
