I found this open letter to Mr. James Thatcher, Brand Manager, Procter & Gamble to be quite hilarious.

I completely agree with the writer -- what were they thinking!?

OMG......

That is hilarious.....

I'm glad I'm on my last day so I can laugh about this instead of running down to my local CVS and ripping all the maxi-pads off the shelves and driving my car over them a thousand times while screaming "DIE - DIE - DIE - YOU STUPID WINGED MATTRESS PADS!!!!!!!!!"

Maria - Who really is not insane - Really I'm not......

Thank goodness. I would hate to be the catalyst for your getting into hot water with the local law enforcement officials.

Of course, you could always argue temporary insanity. After all, isn't that just exactly what PMS is?

Oh no! I didn't mean to scare anyone. If I knew how to change the thread title I'd put a smiley face in it so people would know.

des ~ sorry!

I've been really tempted to go to my bathroom cabinet and fine out, but I don't want to "waste" a pad, so I'll have to let you know in a couple weeks!

des ~ too cheap to check

Edit: A little googling has revealed the answer. Not only did they NOT discontinue the "Have a Happy Period" slogan, but they have a website where you can wish your friends a happy period by sending them an eCard.

wow.

it's day 6 for me (and considering my history, i've got another 5 or so days of joy) and i'm sitting here at my computer in the LSS i practically live at (my aunt & uncle own it), and i just laughed so uncontrollably hard and loud at that letter & this thread that the teacher of the class going on in the classroom had to stop class and come in here to bring the joy back in to the ladies who were hard at work making their 4-fall-layouts-in-one class.

so now the entire room has the giggles, and everyone wants this link emailed to them.

thanks for making my night, y'all.

I'm so glad I'm able to spread the joy of the happy period. Make sure you send all those nice ladies an eCard!

One of my friends told me that if I ever sent her a "Happy Period" eCard we were so over ~ LOL! I think I totally understand where she was coming from.
