I have thought about this for months now, and have decided that I need to take a break from a few things.
How do I do this? I am so used to being the type of gal to keep busy and am constantly thinking of what to do next.
Sorry if your sick of hearing about this, but ever since my mom had her heart attack back on September 3rd (thank God she is okay and on her way back to full recovery), it's been eye opening.
I know what should be important right now.
Not that I am giving up on scrapbooking or anything, that's not it. Just maybe not being around as much.
(Am enjoying doing happy layouts right now using lots of bright colours, that makes me feel good. :) So doing layouts etc, is still going to be giving me tons of joy. And am loving to do challenge blog layouts etc)
This is not going to be easy to do, as I told you I have to be busy and love to get involved in things. I still will I am sure. But I just didn't want anyone to wonder where I have gone or anything.
I'll still be around.
Guess I just needed to talk about how I'm feeling right now.
I had blood tests yesterday, and got a call from my dr's office that my dr wants to have a follow up appt. It's NOT URGENT he says, but dang I have to wait til next Friday the 16th to see him. So yea I am trying not to worry, but you know how that goes.
Anyways I might regret even writing about this, but I know you all will understand and maybe can give me some advice.
How can I relax and take it easy?
I am not the type, lol.
Anyways thanks for letting me get this out.
Let me assure you I will still be around. I couldn't leave SIS! :)
Thanks.

Hi Kellie -

So I was reading your post and wanted to give you some support. Sometimes you need to do stuff just for yourself and focus on yourself. It's important to our well-being.

I am here for you

Hey Kellie! I totally get what your feeling. I took a break last year and it felt really good...in fact, it helped me recharge. I think we all need to step back sometimes and just focus on ourselves, what makes us happy, rest, etc..and when you are ready, you'll be able to decide just what it is that you want to pour your energies into and what you don't..

hugs to you!!

i agree... it's impossible to give your best to others if you yourself is not at your best to begin with. i hope things get better for you.

I totally agree with Cricket. A very dear friend taught me how to say "No" nicely. You might want to practice on your kids/dh first but you say "I'm sorry, that's not going to work for me". You don't need an explanation, you don't have to justify your decision to the person....try it, it works!

Thanks gals. :)
I really have a hard time to just relax. Uh huh I don't have a job, yet, but even still I have to be doing something during the day. My mind is always racing with thoughts etc.
And now I am busy yet again with projects, but they are things I WANT to be doing. :)
I think I just needed to talk about how I felt about my mom, it really scared me when she had her heart attack, and I am so blessed she has a 2nd chance.
I spend lots of time with her, go for walks, etc. We are extremely close.
Thanks again, gotta make dinner. :)
