We just got back from San Diego where our son Little J is participating in a research study program. While we were there, he got really sick and began having a lot of seizure activity. We ended up in the ER at Children's Hospital in San Diego. It was so scary to see our little one on that huge gurney just completely out of it. His sweet and sunny personality gone and his little body just exhausted. Thank goodness for the good doctors there and them working with our sons neuro at home to get him the care he needed. He has currently started taking medication for seizures.
Please pray for him, that this medication will do the trick and we won't have to experiment with many medications to get his situation under control. Please pray that it won't affect his personality or make him ill or have negative affects on his little body. Thank you so much SISters. I know I have not been around much lately and have neglected a few promises, but this last month has been very scary and emotional for our family. Thank you for lifting our little one up in prayer. We know that GOD is with him, we are just praying that not only he begin to recover but that he would bring comfort to our family and give us the strength we need to support, care and make decisions for our sweet amazing little boy.

the unknown in these situations just gives you such a panic and fear that is indescribable... i hope he feels better real soon!

Laurie,
What a hard, hard thing to go through. I will pray for all of you. Don't you worry one iota about some incidentals that you feel you may not have kept up with. Make sure you take care of yourself during this time too so you have all you have to give to your little guy. May the Lord give you all the peace, comfort, hope and strength in the moments you need. May you feel His presence in a huge way during this time.

definitely sending you all some prayers during this scary time. i second what my sisters have said - that you feel God's presence in your lives. i also hope you can get some restful sleep, which is difficult when your child is struggling. i always figure i can give my worries to him when i go to sleep - he is up all night anyway, right?

SISters,
Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support. It really means a lot to me. So far, your prayers are working! We go to see his neurologist tomorrow for follow up now that we've started the medication. Our sweet little boy is quickly returning to his cheeky monkey personality will all the smiles and laughter that we love! Only time will tell if this medication will continue to do the job, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.
It is so hard, when you are always looking for the signs that something is going wrong and when your little one cannot tell you when something is wrong. Our son has the same disorder that Colin Farrell just came out and says his son has, for those of you who don't know our story.
I know that God will continue to comfort us and guide us in the right direction for us, and I know that he is listening to your prayers on our behalf. I thank you all so much for that! It doesn't stop the worry or concern and restlessness, but it is a comfort...Thank you for being part of that for me!
