for our Little J. If you read our previous prayer request, Little J is diagnosed with a rare neuro-genetic disorder. Aside from speech impairment and developmental delay, another issue is possibility of seizures. Little J has been showing signs of some seizure activity and today had at least one absence seizure. We took him to the Children's Hospital ER this evening and he is home now, but will be followed up with his regular neurologist tomorrow or Tuesday.
Please pray that these seizures do not reoccur, and if they do, that the doctors would be able to quickly get the right medicine and dose to stop and control them quickly.

Oh Laurie,
I will sure pray for you and your son. That surely breaks a mother's heart. Please keep us up to date on how you make out at the neuro's. Hang in there girlie.

Thank you so much everyone for the prayers! We've had a crazy day waiting for the neurology department to call us back. We ended up going to see our regular pediatrician (who I must say is so amazing!). She checked him out and believes that the gagging he's been doing may be acid reflux. It's so hard, because he can't tell us what is wrong. She thinks that what looks like seizure activity may be just because he is so tired. So, she gave him some medication for that, but still wants us to see our neurologist. She is currently on vacation, but I think we're okay now until she returns. The bad thing though, is that our ped called the neuro department, and they told her without seeing him that they were going to put him on a seizure medication! She was shocked! So apparently while I was getting his new medicine at the pharmacy, they finally called our house and left a msg. saying they wanted to start the medication.
Please continue to pray for him, that this is all part of acid reflux and that this might control everything that has been going on and that he'll be okay until he can see his regular neurologist. I refuse to give him such medication without them even seeing him. This doctor who wants to start the new seizure medication has never even met my son before!
