Many of you know that I have a story of tragedy in my life.
Today marks the 6th annivesary of the day that turned my life upside-down. A suicidal woman drover her car into the restaurant where my family and I were dining...and she ended up killing my 4 year old daughter, Teagan, a 29-yr old wife and mom of two, and critically and seriously injuring 9 others of us.
My whole family was hurt...and today we remember that day and my daughter in a special way. It hurts and the tears have flowed freely, as the memories come flooding back and the reminder of all that was taken from me surfaces again.
Yet as the same time, I am overwhelmed with a sense of peace and am so full of gratefulness and I thank God for holding my life together and bringing so much blessing out of my pain and hurt.
So many of you here at SIS have sent notes and been such an encouragement to me. It is humbling how God contniues to touch others through pain and tragedy. To me it is such a clear testament to the reality f God...and HIS power, when we are willing to surrendar even pain and hurt to Him. He can use our weakness and heartache for HIS glory.
And I am praising Him and giving Him all the glory due Him in all that has transpired in my life the past 6 years. I can truly say that God has turned my mourning into dancing...and it brings me to tears. In a wonderful/mixed emotional way.
That is God's loving grace and mercy I believe.
And I know I will see Teagan again someday...and all my pain and heartache will disappear.
I so appreciate the many prayers and thoughts from the SISters and MISters here. And encourage everyone to embrace each day as a gift. And to know that no matter what comes our way...that God is waiting to see us through the storms.
To my sweet Teagan, I hope she is honored by my memories and by the way I seek to share how she touched my life so deeply. She truly is an angel to me- in so many ways.
I will love her forever!

God has been glorified today through you, through this terrible circumstance. Thank you, Jody, for your living testimony of how He works and continues to work. These anniversaries of loss always cause us to relive the whole thing and that's hard. But it's also a time for reflection that can be purposeful and positive. Thank you for sharing that with us. My heart is deeply touched for you and your family.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, encouragement and prayers. My eyes are tender from tears today. But my heart is filled with comfort...and my kids and hubby were so great. Lots of hugs, lots of kisses and even some Marble Slab ice cream to round out the day.
I watched a video of Teagan- pics from her birth through the last photos we took of her. It's amazing that she was such a happy girl and so full of love and lfe. It makes me want to be a better person...simply for having had her in my life.
I know some of you understand this. =) And God is good...He has been good to me again today.
I know He listens to out prayers. SO thank you for them today. And any other time too. =)

i am so touched by you & the journey your family has been through.
what an amazing faith you have! i often find that my faith in God is stronger during "bad times" and then when it is "smooth sailing" i can forget that He is still with me.
because of you, i held my kids closer today and took the time to take in their little faces, their voices. THANK YOU for making me pause and be grateful for the many blessings i have in my life.
what a tremendous feeling it is to know that we have so many SiSter's who really ARE our Sisters in Christ. Love that! :)

God is good all the time...we may not know why certain things happen to good people...but we have to always remember that God has a purpose for all of us and that He Love each and everyone of us :)
