DH is a bi-vocational pastor, which means that he works at the church PT and has a FT job. Anyhow, a couple months ago, he applied for another church because things at our present church are getting bad (what it boils down to is a lack of respect for my husband's position as a pastor by those of the congregation that are older than us -- which is about 95% of the church). Anyhow, the first church was applied for and spoke at went with someone else, which was fine. Anyhow, as I said, things here are sooo bad. One of the older members of the church yelled at me this morning because he walked up on me talking to another person and misheard what we were talking about (which didn't really concern him) and I left the building in tears, which is not uncommon these days.
Anyhow, DH has talked with our area minister again and has request that our resume be sent even further (like nearer to Kentucky). DH can get a transfer from his "day job" to Louisville or even Lexington. I don't really want to move, but I can't stay here anymore either. I'm just so tired of being hurt and having my family hurt.

Keep your faith and keep strong as a couple and God will guide you.
I am always surprised at the negative influence some feel they have and do have in their parishes!

So sorry to hear this.. It saddens me that people who claim to be "Christians" can be so unkind.

Sending prayers your way. Praying that GOD will lead you to where he needs you to be. Praying that he finds you a more calm, peaceful and loving environment for your family and for you husband to do his work. Sending prayers of comfort while you are continuing to serve HIM in your current place and that your hubby will be given just the right thing to say when working with these people that he might open some eyes.
