My 2 1/2 year old son was diagnosed about a year ago with a rare neurological disorder. This disorder causes developmental delays such as walking late and the liklihood that he will never speak. He also has a very high risk of experiencing seizure activity. Since he was diagnosed, he has made incredible progress in his development. 1 year ago, all he could do was combat crawl and sit up on his own. Now, he is 4 point crawling, pulling himself up to stand, cruising along walls and furniture, and walk with stability assistance from mommy and daddy. He has excellent receptive vocabulary, but cannot speak, but is learning to vocalize needs and wants.
We are so incredibly proud of his progress. We literally want to celebrate every single accomplishment with a party! We are also very thankful, that he has not had any serious seizure activity.
What I would like to ask here, is that anyone who is willing would continue to pray for his progress and his health. I would also like to ask that you pray for his continued progress in his ability to communicate whether it be by using words, sign language (this is difficult for him due to neurological issues) or other forms of communication.
We are so blessed to have been chosen to care for this little boy, he is an amazing gift. I'm asking for the prayers now to keep all of this amazing positive progress going. This little boy amazes and inspires me everyday with his loving personailty and his never ending determination!

Praise GOD for the Lil Angel He has sent you. His progress is wonderful, but remember when we go through things, its to help us grow and be strengthened,not to just overcome. But I think youve already realized that.
May the Blessings of the Lord come down upon you and your family. May HIS army of Angels continue to surround and protect you.May you all live the lives HE intended for you since the beginning of time, In Jesus Name.

Wow!!! What a little blessing you have, even amongst such a difficult situation. Isn't God amazing? When others see no hope...God shows us who He really is and what He is about...all through a little child. I am praying for him right now. Please continue to keep us updated. My own daughter has ongoing issues related to her closed-head injury at age 6 and a half months.
The doctors have never given us a prognosis of what to expect...but the news hasn't always been encouraging.
My hubby and I have taken the attitude of treating her 'normally'...loving her and challenging her at the same time.
And really, as you say, it IS A BLESSING. She cannot speak and has lots of ongoing issues...but God is good. And a right heart and attitude go a long way in such instances I believe.
I have read your blog and will pray for you. And encourage you to keep doing what you're doing. I have found I am a better person through life's trials. I hope you find this true as well. Prayers and care...and you know you have support in me!
