Alrighty....My wife (Amber) and I are going on a missions trip to Puerto Rico for a week...next saturday....Pray that God keeps us safe...as I am not that big on flying.. But pray that what we are doing may not be just an immediate impact but an everlasting. Pray that God accomplishes His will and that man's thoughts don't get in the way. Pray also that some more of the needs for the trip are taken care of! So glad we have a place to share this with! Please keep us in mind....just pray that over the course of the next week that God really prepares all who are going!

How awesome!
I will pray for you and your wife.
That God will just guide you and fill you with his love every minute of every day.
Enjoy every minute of it! If you don't normally carry a journal, this would be a GREAT time to carry one. At the end of each day, just jot down all the greatness God is bringing to your lives through this trip and the lives that you are reaching to!!

The trip is through a church that we go to. I have helped out with some student things before and this trip is a bunch of 8th grade boys and some adults going!

It's so rewarding working with kids at the church isn't it?
I have done this for three years now at church, with grades 5&6 girls, love it!

i'll definitely be praying for the two of you! i just finished teaching missions during VBS this week, and it's so great to hear of "real people" who are giving their time to share the word of God! AMAZING!

Josh,
Your are going to LUB Puerto Rico. I dont know what part your going to , but if you are in San Juan , be sure to visit Old San Juan, wonderful old spanish architecture and cobble stone streets. El Morro, is an old fortress, a must see. And the rain forest, El Junque, be sure to be prepared for tons of pictures. I know this is a mission trip, but the island is beautiful all around. Your an awesome photographer and I cant wait to see your experience thru the vision of your lens.
But most importantly your going to serve, what a wonderful opportunity. I am praying that the Lord will open your eyes and heart and those of the people your are going to touch and anoint you to share the love of GOD with the people of Puerto Rico. My spirit tells me its going to be an awesome trip and a fantastic work for the Lord.

Praying for you all! My daughter is on her way home from an eight day mission trip to Georgia. The girls van broke down on the way back today, but they are back on the road. Lord willing we will see them around midnight!

What a wonderful thing you and Amber are doing to further the Kingdom. May both of you be a blessing to all the souls that don't know Jesus and may you be light to them. I pray for protection, providence and direction as you prepare for this mission that God has put in your hearts. May God work through you to transform lives and change hearts for His glory.
