I know this is the place for prayer requests, but I just wanted to take a minute to publicly PRAISE GOD !
I was reading Ali E's newsletter and her 20 favorite things challenge. Well that got me to thinking about how blessed I am , we all are . I was sitting in my car listening to XM radio ( which I love) ,watching my son play baseball on his little league team. As I was writing my list of 20 things the sun hit me and it felt great. At that moment I realized, that I was so blessed. To be watching a glorious child run on his own two feet, able to catch a ball with his own two hands and it bought me to tears, yes, I am blessed, and so are you. And just the sun shining, the grass growing, children playing, they are all reasons to be thankful and to praise GOD for !. Mind you I have stuff going on in my life, never enough money, bills overdue,stress, family,and old car, all of the above. But I dont want that to be ALL Im about. So lets take a time out and say thank you GOD, for those things we do have. Like this website and a great group of people, who are open , sharing and caring.
I will go out with a prayer for all of us. May the Lord continue to bless and keep us,may His light shine upon us and strengthen our faith. May no weapon formed against us prosper and may He strengthen our faith to know that nothing is impossible with GOD .
Hope this doesnt offend anyone, but there is no shame in my game !

That's a beautiful prayer.
I salute you for your public praise. A lot of us are probably too scared that we may offend others to do this. Thank you for the reminder.
I thank the Lord for all the blessings in my life and for blessing all the people I care about. :D

Thank you for this post! I look at my dd everyday and I am constantly reminded of His goodness. He gave me a beautiful little girl to love so much that at times it takes my breath away. He gave me a wonderful DH so that our little one will have a good role model and I will have the best friend ever. God IS good.

Your so right ! I think in the 'hurry,hurry' of everyday life we forget that we got out of a warm bed this morning , on our own strength and legs. We can breathe in and out without the need of machine to help us, we can turn on a computer, we can READ, so much of our planet is illiterate. Theres so much to be thankful and grateful for.
Can we try something today?Lets consciously have an attitude of gratitude and see how the day goes. Anyone willing to try this and report back later and see if it makes a difference in your day ?

I am so happy that you took notice of God and all the blessings in your life- in the midst of an ordinary moment.
I am learning that often, in our everday, we DO overlook His gifts, favor and blessing. In this culture it is hard to step back from the needs and wants and be content with the here and now.
I live too, thanking God and being grateful each and everyday for more than I deserve. Really, we don't have to look far to see that we all have blessings in our lives. We just miss the opportunity to praise.
THANKs for doing this. God is worthy- every moment- of all our praise!

Such a cool post! And I am so thankful to see so many here who praise Him too!!
God is so good and in so many different ways, sometimes in very vivid ways, sometimes in ordinary things, and sometimes in ways we weren't expecting. I love this about Him. He never changes, but there are always new ways we can delight in Him and feel closer to Him. That's just so cool to me!

thanks for this thread. i am thanking the LORD this day for the abundant joy he has filled my heart with! and helping me see that the biggest blessing that i have is knowing Him! He truly is a GREAT and MIGHTY GOD!The KING of KINGS and the LORD of LORDS!

Thanks for this post. Yes, I get caught up in the every-moment/every-day stuff and there are times that I get stopped (mentally if not physically) and am moved to Thank HIM for all he gives to me. I'm blessed. We're all blessed.
