I second your plea to urge the men in your life to check...my dad had testicular cancer in his 40's, pretty rare, but he caught it early and he is perfectly healthy now.

Everyone, I am so touched by your messages. I can't tell you how much they mean. DH is healing well from surgery. We found out yesterday that cancer had spread to the lymph nodes in his back, so he starts 9 weeks of chemo Monday. Still, it is a very treatable cancer. We didn't really expect this so we're taking it all in. DS has had 2 friends parents die in last 2 years, so he is very scared.
We love the Lord and know that He loves DH more than we do (it's hard to believe). We are in His hands and will grow closer to Him and each other through this.
Again, I love you all, no coincidence that I found SIS recently.

Oh BArb, hugs friend!! You are right, God loves him and will guide your family through this...we have experienced the same thing here with a friend of mine passing away suddenly and it does bring up questions from your kids - scary moments...he sounds like a brave boy though.

So sorry to read about your hubby :( You all just keep the faith, thinking positive is half the battle!!! I wish you strenght in the times that lies ahead. And cherish this family-bonding-time, because that is one good thing that comes out of scary diseases. (Unfortunately, I have experienced this. The love is overwhelming and brings you close, but it's such a harsh way to experience this...)

Barb- Your and your entire family remain in my prayers! God is there with you, it is hard to fathom his love for us being more than our earthly love but that is because it is not meant for us to yet understand! Faith, have that and you will be OK:) HUGS my SISter! Love to your and your family.
