nschrock10 Style Addict (1114)	# Posted: 24 Jun 2008 22:11 - Edited by: nschrock10 We are heading back to Riley this weekend for a packed week full of doctor's appointments and then his hips are being casted on thursday. things have been going well. Jackson has held all his food down since the end of last month, so monday will tell us what he has gained. We are hoping for a couple of pounds. It is hard not to get your hopes up. Jackson has started to roll over and is traveling around the livingroom nonstop. He gets frustrated that when he tries to move forward he can't, so if we were preventing him with a cast I could see him beginning to crawl soon. Maybe soon after it comes off. you are probably wondering what I am talking about. Jackson was born with both of his hips dislocated and we have finally finished everything else we need to, to move forward with putting his hips back in place. This means a full cast from above his waste all the way down to his mid legs. So I gotta say there will not be much movement. This is a struggle for Dad and I. We have just gotten use to him moving about and are so proud of our little guy and all that he has accomplished. It is going to be so hard and such a challenge to see him so frustrated. We will keep you all updated as to how the procedure goes next Thursday. Right now I just ask that you pray for God to prepare our hearts, minds and Jackson's body for the procedures. That we would be a peace with whatever news we receive and that Jackson would heal quickly and with as little pain as possible. Putting his hips back in place is like one of us dislocating our arm. So it is going to be mighty painful. I spent some time tonight going through what my little man has been through over the last 11 months. It has been quite the year and the list really puts everything into perspective. Check it out here... thanks for the prayers, support and following my little boys journey. I was going to have to go down twice in one week on a four hour drive and now i am happy to say the docs have said they will see us while we are in the hospital. so that will eliminate an 8 hour trip. yippppepeeee!!! :):):):) (that's for you Julie). So know we will not have news until Thursday, but we will be able to go as a family and that part I love.

I was at peace when I found out that we wouldn't have to wait longer if it became a surgery. Thanks for the prayers...
