Hey ladies. Don't worry...nothing devistating here. I just wanted to request prayers/thoughts/vibes for my parents. My mom went through a lot to get out of a marriage she thought was toxic. Now she's having a lot of guilt and self-blame for finding happiness at the "expense" of others. My dad is realizing a lot of regrets he now has and is having trouble healing and letting go of his pain. This weekend was a very very difficult time for both of them due to some things that came to light. I know they'll be okay (actually, I not so sure that my dad will be okay...he hangs on to things for years and years and years), but they're both just in so much pain right now. I want so much for them both to find peace and true true happiness. It's so hard to see them go through this and no that other than being there to listen, there's absolutely nothing I can do. It's a very helpless feeling, as I'm sure all you mothers out there know all about! =) So anyway, thanks for listening. Your prayers/thoughts/vibes for my parents would honestly mean the world to me. Their hearts really really need them!

ouch..
I know all to well what it is like to walk away..
so I sympathize completely with your mom's plight..
but on the other hand, for your dad to realize that the parts he played were an intergal force in the demise of a marriage, and to regret that role, well to me, that is very responsible and stand-upish.
Regret is a hard hand to hold, so I hope he learns to let go, and grab onto better things, like the hope of a better tomorrow, or even the memories of the days that were good.

Ouch is right, for all involved. Will be thinking of you and your parents, as this sounds like quite a rough time. May they both find peace and happiness.....

my parents went thru a separation too so i know how hard things can be for them and for us.

Wow...I just got off the phone with my dad. He is NOT okay. And once my mom gets wind, she won't be okay either. Feels like my family's falling apart all over again.
This will make us all stronger. I have to remember my own advice: when the bottom drops out it's a GOOD thing, because that means people can start to heal. The things that need to happen can now happen. Everyone can truly start to rebuild.
