First off Happy Birthday Jackson...we made it to 10 months!!!! Yipppppeeee!!!
Jackson is having some struggles this morning with other things....not his spine...all is good there. By trying to slow down possible spasms in his back and control his pain, he has been given medications that are increasing his constipation, so now he doesn't want to eat. Talk about a roller coaster. I am having a pretty down day and even our surgeon noticed. I think we have seen her too much when she knows me well enough to ask if I am ok, by my demeaner. She is a wonderful lady, who took time out of her busy schedule to come up and care for Jackson herself with just me asking. THis is why my demeaner is down. Jackson is so fragile with all of his issues, and the neurological surgery team is not consulting with the other specialist that they need to. THey are very focused on there own issue. SO I am growing some balls and standing up for my kid. I am a pretty forward person when I understand everything, but when I am not sure about things or who we need to talk to, I am pretty timid. So I am trying...Thank you for continued prayers and the comments. Pray specifically for feeding and pooping, and for stable numbers. Due to him not eating his kidney numbers are starting to stray from stable. God is good and he has gotten him this far and I know he will continue.

we are on a roll...we have everyone and their brother consulting now. things are moving along and we have found that he is not processing his food the way he needs to. So we are praying for results this weekend so we can go home next week. WE would be sent home today if he was eating....and I am completely ok with staying if they can stop/reduce the vomiting at home. He dehydrates way too fast. So pray for good eats and good poops...i know how gross but that is our life right now.
thank you traci and diana for being so sweet. We greatly appreciate it. lub to all of you and all that comment too. the prayers are working and God is moving people and healing Jackson fast..His kidneys amazingly are stable through all of this..which is incredible and can only be GOD...isn't he spectacular...he moves in such big ways when he wants something done. He is bigger then anything we think is earthly impossible and I keep reminding myself of that.

Things are moving...Jackson has been healing nicely from his surgery all though he is still eating very little and throwing up alot..
they ordered some new tests today and we are hoping to hear from the doc's tomorrow...both dad and I have gotten the flu and it has been so hard not being at the hospital...praise God that as one of us got better the other one got it. I am still on the mend. the hardest thing is leaving my baby at the hospital..thankfully my hubby kept me in the loop today calling me about every three hours..he is the best.
continue to pray...I am hoping that this new test today will give us some answers...ther are some adorable pics on my blog...check them out here.

New test giving us some answers..he is going to have surgery again tomorrow..around 9 or 10. they hope this surgery will give us good results with his feedings...this is the second surgery in this site..we are getting rid of his colostomy and the the first time he got an infection...this increases the risk for another...please pray against infection and for doctors to have wisdom.
it is always hard no matter how many times you do it to watch your baby go into surgery. so pray for me too.

Jackson is out of surgery as of last night at 8 pm..the surgery got delayed due to the one before him taking longer...so it was a long day yesterday with no food for the baby. no food = fussy baby. but we made it and we are no just healing..he is sleeping comfortably with morphine and doing well.
we are happy that everything wen't well it was quite the adventure with alot of tears. Especially during the moments we thought there wasn't going to be a surgery, but the doctor understood our dilema and stayed late to do it. His kidney function stayed stable throughout and we are elated about that. So we just need to watch closely over the next few days as we are not feeding him and this is the usual way that we balance his electrolytes.
thank you in advance for your continued prayers.

well we are now today's post op and we are recovering nicely. we are just incredibly hungry. we are getting closer to food but not quite there yet. still have to wait for his intestines to like us again..they are the one organ of the body that hates you when you mess with them. Without food we are also struggling a little to keep his kidney levels and electrolyte levels stable. please pray for this, we do not need to be looking at cardiac problems on top of what we are already dealing with.
thanks for your prayers so far....
