A mother of a little girl in my daughter's daycare class collapsed suddenly on Friday (she had been to work out on her lunch break, and had just been back to work for about 5 minutes). She has been on life support at since Friday afternoon, with no brain activity. The doctors are thinking it might have been an aneurysm (sp?). They are still running tests.
The mother's name is Kim; her daughter's name is Elizabeth (she is just under 2 years old). Kim is a single mom. All of Kim's family has traveled from Michigan to here in Knoxville, TN to be w/her and Elizabeth.
Please pray for Kim, the doctors that are attending to her, and the family. It's a tough situation.

Oh that is sad news today....I hope with a miracle from God that she will be healed and her brain activity restored fully for Elizabth....just never know do we??

Not good news, guys.... The doctors took little Elizabeth's mother, Kim, off of life support around 3:00 or so this afternoon. Please just pray for little Elizabeth and Kim's family during this time, and in the coming months, as they will have to make so many new adjustments. Kim's sister will be the one taking care of Elizabeth.
Thank everyone so much for thinking of and praying for them.
I love how people here are so thoughtful and caring.

My father passed away of this, at the age of 31. I was 18mos old. I will definetly keep Kim, Elizabeth, and their family in my thoughts and prayers.

Kim, the mom, actually passed away around 10pm on April 9. (She was taken off of life support earlier that day).
Her funeral service was here in Knoxville last night, and her family traveled back to Michigan today with little Elizabeth. There are so many adjustments for all, please just pray for their strength in these coming months.

Thanks, guys! Elizabeth has already gone back to Michigan, so she's not at daycare anymore, but I plan on sending a "thinking of you" card soon. I will let everyone know if I hear anymore updates on how she's doing.
