so... I am not much of a prayer... but if you are, or if you can spare some positive thoughts in my direction... My mom is having surgery tomorrow.
Long story short my young, healthy (until last Christmas) mom is suffering from a bowel condition gone awry... and some other bizarre complications... she is having the first of 3 surgeries to put in a colostomy and then remove infected tissues and abscesses... she has a blood infection, C. Dif and a clot in her Aorta... it's just a mess.
I know she will be fine... but I am totally stressed out, and just really need support and positivity.

Things did not go well today... my mom took a turn for the worse last night and she is on full life support due to sepsis/infection... her kidneys failed... and she formed some clots that are in places that could lead to Pulmonary Embolism... so... I am sort of freaked out here...
I spent the day in the hospital feeling a lot helpless... but surrounded by family. The doctors are telling us the next 24-48 hours are critical, but that she is responding well to their interventions.
Thank you all for your continued thoughts... it means a lot to me!

update:
Day SEVEN since the intubation... and today they have finally taken out the tube. my mom is still in very serious condition.... blood pressure all over the place... kidneys with minimal function (but SOME at least) and tests, tests. tests...
The good news... they have wireless at the hospital, so I can stay in touch a little bit, and update my family... but I am exhausted!
