What the heck is wrong with me?
I went almost all the way through 2007 without being sick at all.
2008 hits, and I get this horrible sickness, really bad that lasts for 2 weeks.
Then my dad has emergency spine surgery.
And now, for the past 3 days, my left leg keeps swelling larger and larger, and the doctors think that I might have a blood clot in my leg. I spent 12 hours in the ER last night, after my doctor sent me. They ran tons and tons of tests, and are still not sure what is wrong with my leg. I go to the doctor tomorrow, so I guess we will see after that. I hate going to the doctor, and for me to go to the ER, was a HUGE step. I was really scared, because a blood clot can be fatal, if they move into your lung or heart, or even brain. I was really upset all day yesterday, because I thought I was going to die. Maybe I overreacted, but that is scary stuff.
I am 23 years old... I shouldn't be falling apart like this.
Hey, at least I get a couple of days off work, right?

Did you take any antibiotics in the last few weeks before the swelling? I'm asking because something similar happened to my dad...PM me.
I hope it gets better, honey. :( I'm so sorry things have been so crazy!

TL, I will keep you in my thoughts. I can only imagine just how scary that must have been for you! Don't feel like you are overreacting, I would have been freaking out too.

Yeah, I know. It really was scary.
It is just one thing right after another thing though, and it just sucks, to be blunt.
I am the girl who is hardly ever sick, or never has anything wrong with her. I don't go to the doctor, but maybe 2 or 3 times a year, and the last time I was in the ER for myself, was when I was a little girl.
So, it's just like bam, bam, bam all out of the blue.

Awwww, Christina, that's scary stuff. And when you've been sick for so long, you just don't have the energy to deal with more. Your circulation can certainly get messed up (as well as other things - my lower back always gets inflamed) when you're down and out from being sick. You're just not moving around as much....

Oh I'm sorry, I know it can be a bit scary when your body does something totally weird. Hang in there and stay on those doctors to help you heal. I will pray for you, keep us posted!

I hate the out of control feeling that comes with not knowing what is going on. I hope everything turns out OK with your knee and that you get the answers you need. Also, we are all human and we do have illness from time to time. Hugs.

I hope you feel better soon. Don't worry they will figure it out just be pushy if you feel you are not getting the answers you need. I have been through a ton also had my lung removed when I turned 30 as well as 2 other surgeries that year, keep your chin up it gets better.
