Thank ya'll for all the love. This is just one of the most difficult times I have ever been through. I have never ever known anyone that was murdered. And, I really hope I never do again. The pressures of the things I knew have just really weighed heavy on my heart. And, meeting with the detectives all afternoon and having to bring all of those to the surface, and realize that this sweet girl was possibly trying to reach out to me for help and that I blew her off has just really been one of the most taxing things I have ever been through.
I just got off the phone with my Grandmother and then my Godmother (Ok. I don't really know what a Godmother is, I am not Catholic but she is my mentor and this is what I call her) and now I am feeling better. All of the sudden a sense of peace came over me (I know people were praying) about this. I know in the long run I am going to be a better person because of this experience. And, hopefully learn the signs of domestic violence and when someone needs help.
Thanks so much for all of the prayers and thoughts. I hope to return to my joke-cracking self soon.
For those that are wondering what happened yesterday. (my good friend is the one being carried out by the police)
Today's News: The whole story.(for those who have been praying for me and the victims all day today.)
xoxo
Thanks

P.S. This is my first time to be asked to do someones hair after they passed away. I really don't know what to expect. So please pray extra hard for God to give me the strength and courage to be able to do this and remain calm for her family.

Holly - I am still keeping you in my thoughts. I am glad you were able to talk to people who could really help. I also hope you never have to experience anything like this again.

As for the hair - just do what you normally do, listen to her while she is talking and make her look good. I think that is all she wants. You can do it, just be strong. I will be thinking of you. (((((hugs)))))

I will pray that God guides your hand as you share the gift of your trade
to honor your friend by serving her (and her loved ones) in this way.

Thinking of you, Holly.

I don't even know what to say. But, if you want to talk, cry or just scream, feel free to contact me.

This situation is beyond horrific!

hugs to you, Debbie

i think she means she is doing the hair of her deceased friend, not the momma of the friend.

i'm sure it will be hard for you, but you will find the strength. hugs for you.

I helped to do my mother-in-law's hair and polish her toenails and fingernails right after she died. It was hard, but I knew that we were doing things that would have made her happy. Little different situation than yours, but I know that you can make it through. Take care.

Holly I know here there are tons of Cosmos that do hair of the deceased for the funerals, etc. Apparently its quite a popular business. It may be hard for you to do your friends, as she is passed, but consider it an honor that they asked you. You know how hard it is to find a good hairdresser! And you were a friend too. Maybe you could recommend someone to the family so you dont have to go through the pain of seeing your friend like that. Or if you think you will be ok, just think of it as your last chance to make her look great before she goes on to better things. *hugs*

Holly, although I have never really gotten to "know" you on here I always enjoy your delightful posts...they always make me laugh or smile.

I pray for you to find the strength to get through each day. It is obvious you are a good person with a huge heart and you have many friends here to lean on and talk to. I hope you continue to feel some peace.
Big {{hugs}} to you and many prayers.
