so i talked to my momma a little while ago. she's in lots of pain, but she's upbeat, resting at home and will start taking her pain meds tonight. she is scheduled for surgery tuesday to repair her broken kneecap. it broke in half and pushed in either direction from a horizontal split. OUCH!
on tuesday, they are going to do an incision above her knee and wrap the cap with wire to help it fuse back together. the surgery is supposed to take less than an hour and then she'll be back at home for recovery.
your thoughts and prayers are truly and greatly appreciated! keep her in your thoughts on tuesday morning, too. :)

I'm glad they are going to be able to fix it though.

OUCH! I am glad to hear it was not a really serious injury. I hope the pain meds kick in soon cause that sounds like a hellish break!

Oh my gosh, Heather. Yeowch! I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'll definitely be praying and I'll put this right into my little prayer notebook... Tell her many SISters are thinking about her!

i can't even imagine that.... gives me chills.
