nanbhack SISter Elle (1596)	# Posted: 11 Feb 2008 13:40 Aviva - the granddaughter of my "second parents" found out on Friday that she needed a new liver. Long story short - we still dont know why her liver failed but right now she is in surgery where she is getting part of her dad's liver because she crashed last night. This is a 'shot in the dark" because we don't know if she can accept the liver. She is to sick to be put on the official Liver transplant list. This all happened within the space of 48 hours! If anyone needs a miracle - Aviva does! Please send all good karma and prayers your way to this sweet 14 year old girl. I can't imagine the world without her. Thanks SISters! Nancy

nanbhack SISter Elle (1596)	# Posted: 11 Feb 2008 22:53 THank you all.... I have no news...and I am hoping no news equals good news. IHonestly, I am praying for a miracle. I just found out from my other family friend who knows Aviva and the family really well - that she has been unconscious for a couple of days.... this is just really hard for me - because she is such a great girl. It is just not fair - if she survives the transfer and it is success, we have no idea what her mental ability will be. I can't imagine what the parents and family are going through. I remember when my late husband had to go to the Childrens Hospital - it was SO HARD seeing the sick kids. Thanks again for keeping her in your prayers. hugs all
