This could probably go under the organizational post, but its kind of different.
How do you store your kits? Do you break them up? Do you seperate your embellishments.
I just did a layout tonight, after it was all completed I was sorting out some of my other kits and found a few embellishments that would've ROCKED on the page I had just finished.
I'm trying to figure out a way to actually USE the stuff I get in the kits instead of it getting "lost in the stack"
How do you do it??

I seperate everything. Collection or not, everything I buy goes into different hatboxes and places. I've started storing thigns by color

I was told by another person to keep it all together- that it was the point of kits..but good lord, I can't seem to find anything!!!!

sorry..I don't buy kits...BUT I read this blog...and this girl has all her own stuff and makes her own....KITS!! She rocks pages like no other!! Let me show you...

I think the idea is to help coordinate pages. So all the elements go together. But it's fun to mix it all up :)

I've only used one of my kits so far. I've been subbed to two for the past 6 months. Guess I'm more of a collector than scrapper.
So, to answer your question, I leave them together in the priority boxes they arrived in, lol.

I belong to several kit clubs. When they first come I keep them in the bag together. If I don't use the stuff in the kit in that month, I break them all down and put all the stuff away into my different storage places. Paper with paper, embellishments boxes and so on. I try to use the items in the kit together, but if I don't do it right away, I just never seem to get around to using them. I usually try to keep 3 or 4 in the bags together to take to crops and on the road trips to have something to work on.

i used to keep my closet in rainbow order :)
I seperate my pinks and reds, but other than thatm yeah, I ROY G BIV it.

I keep everything in the bag until there is nothing but scraps and misc. pieces left. Then it goes into the stash wi ththe rest of my goods.

I used to separate my kits immediately, but now I've actually started keeping them together and using them as a kit. So, I keep them in the bag they come in until I'm tired of them and then I put everything away.

I keep the kit in a file in it's original package until I use it for something. Then all the unused pieces get put in their proper places...embellies in watchmakers cases, paper in the proper colour file, etc.

i like to keep them in their original package then
after i use the kit contents to make 1 or 2 layouts i organize them.
i do fond myself mix and matching some when i go looking for an embellishment from another kit.

I store mine in those plastic cropper hopper envelopes and they have enuff room to keep all the embellies and everything together!

I scrap with each kit until my little heart is content and then I take what is left and set it with all my other scrap stuff. Every so often, I go through my stash and clean it out. I cannot stand stuff to pile up and I get bored with things pretty quickly. Chances are if I used someof it, I may not wan to use the rest.

I definitely keep all my collections together--certainly the papers! I've only belonged to one kit club ever and I honestly keep it all together--that way I can just grab and go. Sometimes it's nice to not have to think! : )

I break mine up after I have stroked it all for about a week:o)
I don't know why but I just feel I can be a bit more creative with the contents when they are with the rest of my stash. It encourages me to use other elements than those that were in the kit.
