My brother was raised in Florida (same mom, different dad) and I don't think you could pry him out of there with crowbar. I've only been a couple of times and it's gorgeous and great weather most of the time. I loved it!
PS: I'm a little biased - the beach is my favorite place in the entire world. Anywhere warm with a beach...I'm so not picky

I know -- being transplanted is always an adjustment. I'm not from Virginia originally, and there are things I don't think I'll ever get used to -- like the humidity (ew).

Hello everyone,
GOSH it seems like I am always behind on posting but I am still here PROMISE. I have a busy life working and four children. My husband will be out of town for only two more weeks (long story you can read my blog for info) ANYWAYS this is so great I have been wanting do participate in a circle journal for a long while now and really look forward to joining this group. It is great getting to know more about each of you and this is one of my favorite parts of scrapbooking is the friends you make all over! I only get online about once a day so if I am slow to respond just know I am not flaking out.
I live in Utah have all my life. Married 15 years. Age 33. Yes, I was married young. Love scrapbooking, it has been my career/life/hobby/obsession for long long time.
My topic: "what I know for sure" gotta get the thinking cap out for that one! Sunny-Utah

I'm totally the same way - as I said, my absolute favorite place is the beach, but if I can't have that, then I love being somewhere pretty, country, and open! Lots of flowers is good (I love flowers). ;)
I have a busy life working and four children.
LOL, I'm a SAHM with one baby and life is still pretty crazy from time to time...I couldn't imagine three more on top of working. You're a better woman than me :) Hmm, I'm already noodling about "what I know for sure"...lots of ideas running through my head...

I think I have you beat on the moving- grew up in NY, lived in North Carolina(2 years) Oklahoma (4 years), Mississippi (4 years), spent 1 year traveling to all the relatives and now Germany, for almost a year. we will be here atleast 2 more years. (longer if it is up to us)
I love the beach too and that is a requirement when we retire! (must live within 2 hrs!) We love Destin FL, would drive there all the time when we lived in MS.

ACK! I feel like I'm behind already!
I'm Nic, 32, have two girls Meredith (2.5) and Paige(1.5), and am married to Ryan for about 4 years...
I am off work right now, but work for the canadian gov't as a legislative trainer - cannot tell you how boring (the legislation part - LOVE the training part - I also teach whatever they need me too, could be systems/programs/writing/crafts at lunch and learn etc)...
I have always loved to play with colour - not really an artistically like painting - always more like cutting and pasting - started quilting years ago (was the youngest in out guild for the longest time) also do primitive rughooking, and started crochet the first day my daughter started going to daycare (practice run for when I had to return to work, and I was bored out of my mind, and talking to myself in Walmart!)
This is my first circle journal as well (though have done several round robins in quilting - so don't worry, nothing will be late!) I am a terrible rule follower - I much prefer to think in terms of 'guidelines' and was going to have a much more 'open to interpretation' type of topic, but I talked myself out of my craziness...
so my theme is going to be "Q for quirky" and it still works with the layout I am going to do... so its all good
I have no idea what else to type, but feel free to email/pmail me... I have a blog but it is just pix of the kids for family and friends... I started another one for more scrappy/quilty stuff, but posted once in Dec, and realized that I almost never take pictures of the stuff I do - which is why my portfolio is so empty. I am trying to get better with it though...

you should get ready to mail out about the 20th of JULY to ensure it gets to your postee by the 1st of august.

No plans for us this weekend (that I know of :) ). We're moving in about three weeks and I think I might try to start packing early instead of leaving it all to the last minute like I normally do. :) My husband will be thrilled to hear that's how we're going to spend one of his days off ;)

hubby works tomorrow so, if i spend today working around the house i can spent tomorrow scrapping and hopefully get my cj done up. i've just had so many half started layouts that have been sitting for months that i wanted to finish up so thats what i've spent the past week doing. i've finished 3 have one almost finished on my desk and 7 more sitting on my desk to be done. they are mostly from crops when i was working at the lss. i would be working and if we happened to have a good night (no newbies just my friends) i would have time to scrap but would never bring any pics so i would just make starter layouts to be finished later. and the later happened to be this week after i found them in my bag:P
