Welcome to the Crushed Velvet CJ Circle.
The Original Thread is *here* and should be checked for any information that might be missing from here.
This is a CJ circle where we ship/post/mail the complete CJ's within the Circle.
The Participants of this Circle Journal are:

Rules:
1. Your personal CJ must be completed and in the post to ARRIVE with your postee for the 1st of August
2. You must complete your entry in the CJ your recieve and have that CJ int he post to arrive for the 1st of the following month ie the CJ you reieve on the 1st of August should arrive to the next person on the 1st of September and so on....
3. You are being given someone else's personal property - their precious artwork - please treat it with respect and look after it while in your care.
4. You must keep in touch with the circle - should anything happen that would delay a cj, please let me know as soon as you can so we can make allowances or alternative arrangements.
5. at the end of the day, it is art - very personal to each person but also that means there are no rules as to what is good or bad, just do work you would be proud to recieve.
Things to note:
Size of your CJ should be no more than 8"x8" and contain at least 20 facing pages aswell as your entry, information page and signin section. please try to keep weight to a miminmum ie do not use standard 8x8 scrapbook albums.
basically a cj is a journal done round-robin sytle between a group of friends. you pick your journal and your theme - some people use shop bought journals, make their own, have it as tags in a box, whatever suits you as its going to live on your shelf when it gets home.
it need to have at least 2 facing pages per person, plus an intro page.
1. you pick you theme - say 'inspirational colour'
2. you decorate your journal cover to match
3. inside you do a page about what youexpect form other people ie 'do 2 facing pages about the colours that inspire you ie green, or turning leaves, or butterfly wins or yoru kids brown eyrs etc'...
4. you do your own entry about your theme.
5. you should also do a signin section for everyone to sign in with their name (& user name on here) and the date they did their layout.. some people use a page at the back, other people use tags etc all up to you.
5. put it in a ziploack bag, then into a box or padded envelope and post to the person ahead of you....
6. when you get a cj from the person behind you, you do your two pages to their theme...
and on goes the circle until you get your some with everyones entries to your theme...
The Next Steps:
You will recieve an PM from me tonight asking for the following:
your user name, real name, address, telephone number, email address. Please supply me this information as soon as possible. the only other person besides from me whoi see your address is the person who posts to your - they do not see your email or telephone number.
then decide on your theme and start to create your CJ.

This thread is here for us to post when we send and recieve CJ's , to comment about our day-to-day life, to talk about the cjs we recieved (without giving too mcuh info away - the CJ pages should be a surprised for the person when they get home) you can thoguh display your own entry in your own CJ... basically integrate and become friends...

me.. Anam.. now live in Edmonton, Canada :) home to north america's biggest mall! originally irish, move to the uk in 98 to be with now hubby, have a little girl - 3 1/2 called Fay after 5 years of infertility horribliness... moved to Edmonton for work - hubby is an artist and makes computer games.. I like most sports except soccer and cricket... i like chocolate and i listen to a lot of rock music... and tattoo's. my scrapping idols are cathy z, Lu braxton... and a few more.. adore rouge de garance papers and brads!
oh i am dyslexic and cannot type either so forgive my crappiness and re-editiing of my posts constantly...

I am wife to Mario, mommy to Julia and Madison and big puppy Maverick.
I've been scrapbooking for almost 10 years and have seen so much change. I don't have an "idol" but enjoy work by Ali Edwards. My biggest creativie inspiration comes from my friends, most of them still undiscovered talent, and I have just recently discovered the blogging and message board world.
Love: Chocolate, coffee and Rolling Rock, blue jeans, t-shirts and baseball hats, would rather sit at the baseball park then be at the mall and drive a truck instead of a BMW.
Can't wait to meet you all and know we will have a great time wit this CJ!

I am Laura (WriterGirl) and live in Northern California. I work full time, to support my full-time student hubby and my great scrapping habit! LOL!! I love sports, especially basketball. My hubby and I love to play board games, cards, you name it, we love games! We don't have kids yet, we are currently working on that one! I love: salami, pretezels, the Napa Valley, shopping, pedicures and sleeping in!

I'm Heather(Danielsmommy) I live in Northern Michigan in a small farming community. I am wife to Steve(8yrs in July!!) and mommy to Daniel(3)
I have been scrapping for 9 yrs. I am a SAHM since October when my scrapbook shop went down in a fire. I don't really have a scrapbook "idol" but LOVE the works of Ali E.. I love high school football games, biking, camping and spending time in our pool.
I'm a diehard Grey's Annatomy fan.
I've never done a circle journal, so i'm a little nervous. Hopefully it turns out ok!!

Hey CJ SISters!
I am Stacey (i know, that was a hard one, right). I am 33 years old. I have a husband Mike of 7 years and a step daughter Emily who is 12 going on 30! I have been scrapbooking for about 6 years and love it, obviously. I work FT in the business office of a nursing home and also work PT in my LSS as a way to support my addiction. I do have a blog, but don't update it every day.
I am looking forward to meeting you all and can't wait to get started on our CJ's. For those that have not done them before, I think you will love it.
Just a suggestion, maybe we should have everyone's information in case there is a break down somewhere. I don't have a problem sharing my info with everyone. What do you think?

Stacey - I will have everyone's info and i have yet to dissappear on a CJ - even when i moved countries i managed to complete 2 CJS during the move :) i think that for privacy sake that 1 person keep and control the information - as much as we might like to all have everyone's info personally i think people would prefer not to have their details around too many pople - especially if something happens and it becomes an issue...

Okay---I'm Trish (nattansmom). I live in Central Florida, I'm 42 years old and married to my hubby Dew for 8 years. I have two sons, Nathan 17 yrs old, and Tanner 6 years old. We love to go fishing and can't wait for Tanner to start cub scouts this year so we can start camping again. I love to take pictures much to the dismay of my family!!! We have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 turtles, 2 snakes, 1 gecko and 1 bearded dragon. A menagerie I know!
This is my 5th circle journal group. I have made some lifelong friends through circle journals--many of them are on this board--so I look forward to getting to know all of you here and through your journals.

Hi new friends!!
I'm Jamie, last name...I mean maiden name is Ko, hence the kokopuffs. I obtained that lovely nickname sometime in high school and it's sort of stuck.
so I mentioned maiden name, which means there is a married name now!! I've been married for all of one month and one week, and so far so good. I work as a pharmacist full-time, but play with the idea of being a part-time pharmacist to be home with *the kids*. I'll be 30 this year, and am watching my last year as a twenty-something fly by. I scrap when I get the chance and when the mojo is good, which seems to be once or twice a month (the mojo I mean).
I live in Southern California, but am a Northern California native (Hercules to be exact for Laura and Diana...Diana, my brother is a huge Giants fan too!!). I've been down here for almost 12 years, being that I did my college and graduate years in So Cal. My husband and I have been Disneyland annual passholders for 4 years, so we go when we "just feel like it". We like watching hockey, the beach, eating, watching tv, and being lazy old bums.
I'm not sure what sort of topic I'm gonna go for...I have a bit of time to ponder that one, but once it hits me up side the head, I will share with you all :)

Hello everyone. I am Andrea (mom2bigtom)
I am a single mom to Thomas (hence the bigtom) We live in Kamloops British Columbia, Canada. I work full time as a cashier at Costco, and yes I spend just as much money there as everyone else. We are the two hundred dollar store. And no one is immune.
Thomas and I are currently living in my parents basement. Round the clock daycare and activities for T. He totally loves that. And would love to be able to one day stand on my own two feet. But my bank account and schedule right now just does not allow this. I have little to no life. This i admit. I am a total extrovert who is hiding within the shell of an introvert. And occasionally I will let her out.
I am a newbie to the world of "sharing" and am kinda excited to see what everyone does. Totally cool.

i had hoped to edit the top post to add in name & links but the edit button seems to have dissappeared...
hope everyone has choosena theme.. you all have about 4 weeks to make your cj and do your entry and start gettignthem in the post..
I am still waiting for a few people to get addresses to me - but i know 2 of them are away till the weekend so no big deal - and you dont need them for 4 weeks anyways!!

Hi SIStas! Sorry, I've been on vacation...now, I'm back, refreshed, and ready to work...uh...create! This my first CJ too, so I'm a little nervous, but excited for the opportunity!
My name is Angie (short for Angelica) and I'm from HOT Phoenix, AZ (wasn't at all happy to come to 115 degrees!). I'll be 35 in August. I've been a SAHM since my 2nd child was born 8 years ago, but thinkin' I should get back out there, as I've lost all of my social skills!! :) I also have an 11 yr old (both girls) and their names are JC (short for Juleyana Christyne) and Jensen. Been married to my hubby, Chris, for 10 years. Other members of my family include a Yorkie (Waffles), a German Shepherd (Pancakes), a hamster (Gingersnap), and a gecko (Twinkie)....
uh... we love food, as you can see! :)
Hmmm, what else.... I've been creative (to some extent!) for as long as I can remember, but until just recently, have been creating things for other people,... gifts for birthdays, holidays, teachers, etc.. always with the intention to start "scrapping" for myself and my family. I've done a few layouts here and there, but you all are witness to my first four actual page LO's (in my gallery) in 3 years! Yikes! Still trying to find my groove...
My biggest passion is interior decorating... kids rooms mainly because it gives license to be as creative & whimsical as possible!
Anyhoo, enough about me...
Can't wait to get to know you all, and create something special for your journals! :)

Hey there, soory I'm so late. DH has been on vacation this week and we've been going a mile a minute.
My name is Kristin (so original, lol) and I am a SAHM to three girls and married for almost 9 years to my best friend. I'm from central Indiana. We have two Welsh terriers -- Corsen and Colin. Ummm, I've been scrapping for over two years.
My blog is No Day But Today and is in need of an update.
