Hey there,

I am going to be traveling on a plane two times in the next month or so and wanted to know if any of you ladies have had issues with getting a gluestick (or other scrappy supplies) through the security checkpoints?

We are not checking baggage, so I am just talking about carry on stuff.

I appreciate the help!

Sad!

I actually got a blunted pair from the children's school supply section... hopefully those will get through...

This may depend on the airline. I was able to bring scissors in my carry on when I flew in June b/c I was doing some embroidery work. It's something like as long as they are less than six inches...not sure but you would have to look up the guidelines...you can google it.

I think the gluestick would pass...b/c it's not a liquid and under the 3oz limit.

here are guidelines for carry on luggage.

as far as the glue goes, i think that as long as it's under 3 oz. and in a zip top plastic bag would be okay.

also, make sure that your scissor blades are shorter than 4 inches and the blades are covered by something, or else they will snatch them.

i took scissors with me last time and no problemo... as long as the blade is under 2 inches i think. they didn't even stop me. a small gluestick should be fine but i would bring a tape runner too just in case...
