I am on my way home from Jack london square in Oakland. we were right in front of the water and in the distance was the Golden gate bridge. It was so beautiful! the show was over the water so it looked really cool.
Hope you had a fun night. Since it is Sierra's birthday she thinks the firework show was for her. lol

Hi Suzy, We watched the Fireworks in Foster City. We have the yearly fireworks over the main lagoon. They do a spectacular show every year. We usually watch it from my office but this year we watched it from the top level of the parking lot at work. Happy 4th ...

i believe there were police.

We hiked up to the top of a nearby hill to watch. It's a great view, you can see all the various shows in the area. But, it was super windy and freezing cold! The show was good though. Honestly, it's kind of anti-clamatic for me, but something I feel obligated to do every year.

Your fireworks sound beautiful! Ours were nonexistent :(

We sat out looking over the water for 30 minutes as it was lightening (no rain) all around us. After 30 minutes, they canceled the show. What a letdown!

well we always buy fireworks and let them off at my moms since they are legal in stanislaus county. But there were lots of illegals going off around us. Every year they do it and every year no one cares lol! We swam in my moms pool and ate bbq it was nice. Yours sounds lovely suzy!

Mine was wet and soggy...but I managed a few pictures of the fireworks in Washington DC.

Most of them where obsured by the large plume of smoke that had nowhere to escape to because of the rain.

Washington DC

Anyone got any pictures to share?

Not really, from here, we were too busy visiting to go out and actually watch :) LOL!!

On the way home we did see a fascinating fireworks' aftermath! The fireworks from my sister's town are the suspected cause of the 20' flames we saw as we headed home.

They started across the freeway from where the fireworks were being set off - by the town/city - about 2 minutes after the finale.

Crazy!

Oh man - one of the best ones I went to was when I lived in DC - right under the Washigton Monument listening to that cannon song (can't remember what it was called) and they had real cannons. It was great!

I am going to blog about mine but basically we went to Church on the Hill in San Jose. We got there fine, me and the boys but when it was over we got caught up in the mob of people walking back at 10:30 at night for about 1/2 hour before I realized I was really lost. It ended up me trying to ask random people who were hanging outside their homes where we were and the first group were from Arkansas and had no idea and then the 2nd group had two men who were trying to give me directions and telling me I was really far from where I should be - thanks I already knew that but I was trying to not freak out because I was being brave for my boys! Finally one of their wives had sense enough to drive a poor lady and her kids back to where I parked.

Thanks stranger lady for being a good Samaritan!
