My Cousin recently came back the States with some Martha Stewart scrapbooking products for me. Some of the paper is tissue paper and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on the best way to use this product.

I saw someone cover chipboard or die cut letters with them. Very cool.
Also you could use them as a background for some layouts, spread glue over them, layer them, very cool effect.

I have seen where they print the picture on the tissue paper by running it through the printer and than using it on Tumbled Tiles for coasters. Not sure if it would work the same on a scrapbook page, but I would think so.

Martha often makes flowers with hers. I believe there are tutorials on her website. Also, mix it and layer it up with Mod Podge or craft glue for a cool and funky textured background! xoxo Lain

I made a bunch of candle holders once. You buy just the glass ones in various shapes you get at Wal-Mart, target, wherever. Get some mod podge and tear the tissue paper in peices. Mod podge them on to the candle holder. When a canlde is lit it is very pretty, especially if the tissue paper is colorful.

I think I'd be a little too scared to use it - so can't wait to see what you do with it!!

If it is what i think that it is then you also make it wet. With a pencil you make a wet line on the paper and then you can easly rip the paper in half. You will see now some euh...that it is not straight it's a bjoetie when for example your card is finished. I will look for a card that i made with it.

You could try wrapping tissue paper around a pipe cleaner to make a funky border, plus as pipecleaners are flexible you could make them into any shape.

tissue paper is really fun to use if you try scraping on a stretched canvas! just quickly dip it in some water and then use modge podge or other adhesive/sealer to secure it onto the canvas. makes a fun background. i recommend crunching it up first for a fun texture!

i love scrunching it up and adhering it with paint...gives it another color from behind and looks really cool!! use mod podge or more paint on the edges to keep them down good. love tissue paper :)

I am obsessed with tissue paper right now. Here's 2 layouts i did this week:
What is Perfect
Dream Out Loud
i love the way it molds around different textures and how you can put paint on in and in it.

my mom does the COOLEST things with tissue. she is so creative. she ruches it around the edge of vintage-y cards she makes... i'll take a picture later. but it amazes me how chic it looks...she favors the cream color.

i like to modpodge a surface-then crinkle the tissue paper over that-then paint another layer..let it dry then use as a background or use it to cut out letters or what-have-you....

I did what some of you guys are talking about before with Mod Podge. Here's my link. What I think would be a cool idea like for Christmas is to take those paper mache type shapes you can find at craft stores and cover the shape using this technique in really festive type colors for the holidays.

I love cutting a long strip of it, folding it into little pleats, and stitching down the middle to make pleated "ribbon". It's really cute!
