Hi! I have such a hard time writing on textured cardstock. (Which is why I looove letter stickers!) But sometimes I would like to add hand journaling directly onto the cardstock, and when I do, it often looks uneven, jagged, and just not as smooth or fluid as I would like. Does anyone have any good tips or suggestions to help me with this problem?

I have the same problem! UGH!!
I find that if I use a thicker tipped pen and write bigger (I write very small normally).. it helps a bit.

I just usually use a fine point Sharpie, but I like the rough look of pen on cardstock.
I think a thinker pen might help ya out some, too! deanna

I like to use sharpies also, and for me it helps if something is under the layout. I use great big desk calendars and then it makes it have a little more padding on the layout when I write. I find its harder if i'm writing on a hard surface.. Good luck!

Also, choose a smoother CS rather than the orange peel or the woven texture -- the orange peel Bazzill is particularly hard to write on smoothly, I've found! xoox Lain

Fine pt Sharpie here, too. Don't really care if it gets a lil' messy:)

I LOVE handwriting on layouts. And I love all you fine point (ultra fine point for me) sharpie gals. I think I might try a regular fine point though...hmmm. For me, I keep my journaling straight, even and fluid by first pencil writing it in going over it with my sharpie and then erasing the pencil out. Have fun!

i usually write in a very fine point and then go over it in a med tip......just to add thickness to the letters and it avoids some of the bumpiness.
