hey gals,

Looking for a good quality printer that will allow me to print something other than your typical 4x6's and such. Would like the ability to print small prints like 2x3's, 1x2's, etc. (I know there are printers or at least photo services out there that allow 2x2's and 3x3's but I want more than just square pics!!)

A plus would be the ability to print borderless 8.5x11's as well, but not as necessary.

I would prefer to spend no more than $250....really less than $200 is preferable.

Gimme good advice gals!!

When I look for stuff like this I always look at Cnet.com and Consumer Reports. I'm sure some advice from people on here that actually have photo printers like this will help, but this is another option. On Cnet they have a "printer finder" where you answer questions about what you are looking for and they will show you options! I've used cnet when buying a new cell phone, mp3 player, etc. and I appreciate their reviews. ;-)

You know what I do?
I use photoshop and will put all my small pictures on a 8.5x11 and print them out like that. I am obsessed with printing big!

First of all you MUST go with Epson!!!!! I'm serious. I have the dash and the RX595 and I will NEVER EVER EVER buy another brand. They are affordable AND
the
best
quality
out
there.
when I show my photos to people they even ask where I get them developed! I tell them I print at home and it's quite a shocker!

The dash is my favorite for so many different reasons, but it only does 4x6...if you want to do larger you have to buy a larger printer...but Epson is like the best out there!

Are the ink replacement cartridges on these color photo printers horribly expensive. I had a small color printer and finally tossed it out, too expensive ink.

all i have ever heard is EPSON is the best.
I got myself a 4x6 printer ( i know that is not what you want but for the sake of it being an epson) and it prints such nice photos! I really want to get the 12x12 for printing my digi layouts onto cardstock.

I have an "all in one" Epson RX700 and I love it, I have been using Epson for a while and I will not use any other brand. I can print any size photo up to 8/12 x 11.

i just got an HP photosmart D7460. I got it for the borderless capability and wireless printing (laptop and can now print anywhere)

I use either the HP photo software or Picasa to print my photos and if you choose paper size 4x6 and "wallet" you can get 2 2.5x3.5 pix... or you can do 9 on an 8.5x11 paper.

I got it on a decent sale...otherwise I wasn't in the market for one --- the wireless thing caught my eye.

My "old" photosmart 8150 is now going to live with my sis because like I said, I wasn't in the market for one, it worked like a charm.
