i have the cricut...i never use it but now since they have this stuff that you can make your own stamps with it now i might use it more often...
i know that didn't help but..oh and i also have the quikkutz and never use it either ;)

depends on what you want to do with it.
i don't have any of the electric machines, mostly because I haven't seen one yet that would do everything i'd want for the price i'd be willing to pay. but am interested in checking out the pazzels at CHAS

for the other kind - ya gotta go with the Big Kick/Shot
you can use anyone's dies in it
it'll cut nearly any material
no issues with hand strength

so for my money i'd rather have a tool that is versatile rather than one that only lets me use that companies dies

i think krista has a good point. i definitely want something that's versatile! oya i heard the reviews on the pazzles isn't that great, apparently the sticky mat becomes non-stickyish after like just one go. but, if u have one let me know how that works :O)

i want an all-rounder, anyone heard of THE SLICER yet? MM is bringing out in june i think. that'll be quite cool too, huh? a mini digital cutter and portable and all. can't emboss though unline the other manual die-cut tools.

tsk tsk decisions decisions ~~

If I were shopping for an electronic machine, I'd seriously consider the MM slice. I know many scrappers love their Cricut though.

I have a Cuttlebug and I love it because it can be used with all dies, handles embossing, will cut multiple materials besides paper (chipboard, foam, felt, metal, plastic), and it's portable.

I've been using my Cuttlebug a little more lately and because it's a coupon-friendly tool, it can be economical and pay for itself.

Anyone heard of the revolution from quickutz ?, they have a plate for 6x12 papers, so you can cut larger dies than with bigshot, but haven't tested myself; am also looking for one of these, hard to choose, of course better if all dies go on it;

was totally not impressed with the Slice
very limiting on size you can cut
don't think the revolution will do the sizzix dies so it isn't as versatile as the Big Shot/Kick
revolution is only about 1 inch wider than the other so not a lot of difference there as the Big s/k has the 12 inch platforms for the longer dies also

used to rep the Ellison stuff and it's really good
and I'm a tool hound

go to ellison.com
i know the sell from the site but not sure if they'll ship overseas or not
worth a try at least
or perhaps you have family that would use a J's or M's 40% coupon and ship to you??

I love the cuttlebug, it's inexpensive and the embossing is wonderful.

I have the cricut and LOVE it!!!

I had a wishblade, but all of the replacement things for it were just way too expensive.

If you want to be able to cut with your own fonts and such, I think the Quickutz one lets you do that. As for portability, I really want to see the MM Slice. It looks so tiny and easy to use.

In France the cuttlebug is less expensive than Big shot but dies much more, and I'm not interested in electric machines, you read a lot of girls don't use much these machines, so is it worth th money ?

for Electronic... I would totally go cricuit expressions.

For manual I would TOTALLY go Big Shot.

I love the Revolution that I recently "adopted" from elly. It is soooo slick. But I am a big lover of fonts, so I have to have good font choices.

I have the Revolution and LOVE it but my friend bought the Big Shot (I think that's what it's called) and she can use different brands with it--Cuttlebug, QK, etc. You should check into that--but if you are going to go with the Revolution, I saw it on sale at Archiver's yesterday for $119.

HTH!

xoxo.

I have the Cricut and the cuttlebug and my cuttlebug gets much more use.
(SSH, don't tell DH) I like that it's poratble, affordable, easy to use and I can buy whatever die is on sale since it will use most of them.

I was thinking about buying a cricut. I saw that it has a software that you can create and send it to the machine. Does anyone knows this software? Is it easy to use?

Thanks,

Dani

The cricut software is very easy to use but it is extremely basic. You can download the trial for free and you can even cut using George for the original cricut and Accent Essentials & Plantin Schoolbook for the Cricut Expression. I use it mostly to see what size things are going to cut out before I waste paper trying but you can do that without buying the program (even though I do have it)

So, the big question is: Cricut or Wishblade?

Has anyone seen both working? I just can't decide...
