I did check it with snopes.com and it is true. If this was my daughter I would want it worldwide. URL Please read this message and pass it on!!!!!!!!! As you are aware my niece, Madeleine, is still missing and I am asking everyone I know to send this as a chain letter i.e. you send it to everyone you know and ask them to do the same, as the story is only being covered in Britain, Eire and Portugal. We don't believe that she is in Portugal anymore and need to get her picture and the story across Europe as quickly as possible. Suggestions are welcome. Phil McCann

Internet, emails, myspace, blogs, news, etc. I read about it last week or the week before and it just breaks my heart. There was also lots being said about the parents, as they left the children unattended that night. Bah. It's terrible how many children this happens to on a regular basis. Combine that with Maddie's sweet angelic face...wow, it's nearly too much to consider. Poor little thing. I truly hope they find her and she's as okay as she can be.
Rebekah E Haute SISter (796)	# Posted: 5 Jun 2007 08:33 this is a sad story indeed... i have been following it all along. i have my own issues with the case... such as why the parents wouldve left them alone for 2 seconds even... but regardless, this sweet little girl and her family did not deserve this. i just hope and pray she gets to go home SOON!!!! i do want to THANK YOU for being one of the wonderful people who checks their facts on snopes.com though... i think we all hate being sucked into these heart-wrenching stories, only to learn they are some huge hoax. what a sick way for someone to pass time.

kihaku Style Addict (1442)	# Posted: 16 Jun 2007 15:41 there was a letter printed in a dutch newspaper saying they knew where she was buried but the police called off that search yesterday.. i am with rebecca - as much as i hope she comes home safe and sound i have some reservations about the case - its not all out there in the open - the facts and the history of the family - there is talk of it being an internal family issue too. that part of europe is known as a cheap holiday destination where people go to get drunk etc, and its often the case where families go and the kids are put to bed and the parents go to the bar thinking all is safe :(
