I find myself just putting people's names as the title or song lyrics...it's getting old. When a title is something other than that it is still boring. Right now I'm trying to think up something witty for my Jewish group at school, not going to happen.

You know what?
I think if you're having a hard time coming up with a title then you just shouldn't HAVE a title. Not every page needs a big title to warn the reader what they are going to be looking at. And honestly, if it feels forced to you, it will feel forced to your reader which is often times your child/ren.
YAY! GREAT question!

xoxo.

Try writing your journaling first. Sometimes the title will just pop out at you from that. Maybe a word or a phrase will strike you, and you can use that as your title.

I agree with this. You can grab titles from the journaling, or even one word works great.

I also tend to use lyrics and common phrases for inspiration for my titles most of the time. I also have an art journal that I use to write phrases down that I want to remember.

Same problem here, not much journaling and not too into titles.
We do scrapbook for ourselves and our family, so we can do it OUR Way right.
When I order pictures from Snapfish, I usually go thru them and group them by activity of the gbabies. Birthdays, at the park, swinging, fishing, cute stuff they do.
Then the pictures sort of remain in my brain, and at weird random moments a Title or Story line pops into my head, usually late at night.
SO...... I have found a cute notebook with a cover that closes, a cheapie at Michaels 1.00 bin. Spiral bound, so I keep an automatic pencil (so you can erase the crap), clipped to the spiral part, then when I think of a title at night or in the morning, I have my little book, I jot any thoughts or titles down, with a note about which pic it is for, and a sketch for a layout.
It does come in handy when I go to scrap.
So far I am not Becky Higgins but it does work for me.

You can check out http://www.thequotationspage.com for inspiration too. I use it pretty frequently.

maybe im the one that has this problem.
i have tons of pictures i know what i want to say but i have such a hard time thinking of a title for my pages. at times, its so discouraging i end up not scrapping at all.

I have the same problem!!! Or I want to write a quote, but I can't think of one.

I usually pull from the journaling, if I am stuck...like when journaling, pull out something that stands out in it....it always helps me.

I love listening to music or flipping through magazines for inspiration. I try and make the title sort of quirky, but trust me. I sit and sit and sit for a long time usually with trying to think up a title!

if i get stuck for titles (which i ALWAYS do) i do one of two things:

i go to a challenge blog and get inspo/title from there OR

i do a list - like "5 things about you right now", or "7 reasons i love you", "3 things that just annoy me...", you get the idea (-'

or sometimes i don't even put one on. (-:

Oooh, I have *just* what you need. Promise. A fellow scrapper had a copy of The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Word at a scrap retreat, and I kept on picking it up to use. I ended up getting it and it's perfect!

I have that one as well and it is wonderful!!!

Sometimes I'll just show the picture to my DH or DD and say, "What does this picture say to you..."

I thought I was the only one...titles really can be difficult. I look at my photos and try to see if I can remember any cute things that were said at the time that I can use. Songs and lyrics are also a favorite of mine!!
