I am gonna watch for the answer too cause I have title issues too!

I tend to use alot of song titles or lyrics for inspiration. It's already written for me so I just have to match a picture to it.

Sometimes people just say something clever that I think, hey I could use that for a title! So, I'll keep a mental note or write it down immediately. Basically, you've got to be thinking about it all the time and when somebody says the right thing- bam write it down!

I sometimes don't even put a title on my lo's. I feel the picture says it all sometimes. On those the journaling and the picture are more important than some title.

I agree! Why do you feel obligated?

Ok, girls. Here is a tip. Something I found really works for me since scrap time is limited for me.

Get a somewhat thin spiral bound notebook and some paper clips. Get your pictures. Put them in the notebook in their little envelope. Put lots of paperclips on the front cover. Grab this when you head out to pick up kids from school or waiting for them to get out of extra cir. activites. You can write your journaling while waiting in line. Paperclip the pictures to the page. Then you can think of a title later if you want one.

That way it is all ready to go when you scrap.

I agree, mhutch ^^^^^^. I am always thinking of stuff I want to journal and whenever I think of it I write it down....even if I don't have a picture to go along with it at that moment.

I think so! When I show my family my pages I say, 'oh, don't read that!' or 'don't flip that open, thats personal!' hahaha

then they think im so completely anal lol

Get a somewhat thin spiral bound...

this is such a good idea. i usually scrap about my nieces and nephew and since i live far away from them i don't see them everyday but my cousin calls almost every day and tells me the crazy things they say! im gonna have to write them down so i dont forget and make them into titles Ü

That's such a GREAT idea! And anytime you hear a great play on words or song title or lyrics or quote, you could write all that stuff in that little journal too.

YIPPEEEE! Another excuse for an altered journal cover! ;)

I have just the opposite problem - maybe it's because I very wordy, though. But when someone's looking at a scrapbook/page I've done they most often DON'T take the time to read what I've written... that always disappoints me a little... Funny. ;)

i want people to read it!!

That is so funny because I always feel like I am being super nosey and try NOT to read out of respect for a person's privacy. I always ask first, even if someone is showing me.

You could also use popular sayings with a twist like flipping the words or changing one. Also, if you google "one liners" or "quotes" a ton of pages pop up that you can use.

i was asked to do a project at my friends school-kinda a mini workshop to make mini books and i took some of mine to show examples and the very first thing i said before i passed them around was DO NOT READ ANYTHING! lol

Mee too, more and more often, I choose not to have a title, but instead I put in a journaling tag to tell more about the photo, what and where ;)

one word...QUOTES!
I always do a quote search on a topic
quoteland.com or thinkexist.com are good ones and find a quote that fits my subject.

I use song lyrics, random quotes, or I just make the beginning, middle or end of my journaling much larger and bolder and use it as my title (if that made sense??). Sometimes I don't use a title. I also try to keep a notebook handy when I do think up titles and things or just to remember things people say. You just never know what you'll want to remember!

Oooh, I have *just* what you need. Promise. A fellow scrapper had a copy of The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Word at a scrap retreat, and I kept on picking it up to use. I ended up getting it and it's perfect!

It has thousands of titles and quotes, under different classifications. You look up your "theme" and bingo, you have a list of tons of different suggestions.

Here's an example, under Sisters:
A Sister is a Forever Friend
Sisterly Love
Sister Act
Sisters are Tied Together with Heartstrings
The best thing about having a sister was that I always had a friend. - Cali Rae Turner

Everyone that uses it (at crops, retreats, etc.) loves it. I promise you won't have another "I hope you dance" LO. ;)

Ohhh....you are not alone. I always have a lot of trouble coming up with titels. I want them to be creative and I want them to be witty. But it never works!
