I have been in a scrap funk....I just packed all my stuff up and threw it in my rolling totes and forgot about it... I just got some new kits and really feel like scrappin again and boy is it overwhleming...
HELP me get out of my FUNK!

I totally love your journaling on the last LO you loaded up. I think sometimes when you feel "funky" it makes for some AMAZING journaling!

Pick out a picture you like. Find a layout in the gallery you like. Get your stuff out, tell yourself no matter what you will complete the layout and go for it!
Just start cutting!!! LOL! Can't wait to see what you do!!! Will you post it here when you are done?

I have TONZ!! AND i have tonz of stuff thats the overwhelming part about it...I am thinking about getting rid of everything in my totes since i havnt touched it in so long...just keeping the essentials....I just got a new desk for scrapping THe drawers fit 12x12 paper!! Bought it at a thrift store! I just need to know how to pick up my scatter scrap and start anew! My kits are from poppy ink and scrapologie some are kinda old and never touched them some are old and I just got them (switching kits asap)....Part of my problem is we had a very horrible year last year and we nearly lost everything (meth house) and here I am still picking up the pieces from that and needing my creative outlets back! Then theres space issues time issues I never felt like this before!
Kalgon Take me away!

Thats a LO from last year sometime...I really like it it was one of the last LO i did before all HE!! broke loose! lol

You are a very poetic journalist.. so I think you should take a little notepad with you where ever you go. Shove in your purse and when you are waiting in line someplace, that's your time to shine. When you write an emotion or thought down.. rip out the notepage and stick it on your page!! Don't you dare sell your stuff.. you are sitting on a gold mine and all you need is inspiration to be in the "moment"
Thinking of you, and I believe if you focus, this is better than therapy!

Try this little trick. Allow yourself only five minutes to grab stuff for one layout. You have to only use that stuff!!! I dare you!!! :)

OK I just did this took an idea from a friends portfolio several actually and made them into one...

I just did this one too! I actually did a couple like this This really helped...i didnt think my mind garbledy gook was good for anything! THANKS!

oh i just had heart palpitations! don't throw it out!! give to to someone needy! like say...me? hahaha
i know how frustrating it is to have SO much stuff and not have any mojo. but what i do is browse the layouts here on SIS and jot down idea's or techniques i like about some of them. sometimes i even do some sketches incorporating different things i like....and just pick one and do it! sometimes thats all it takes to get out of a rut...is to take someone else's idea and make it your own :)

I just wanted to say that I am so glad you decided to join in the fun this weekend. You did some incredible stuff and it seems that is just what you needed to get back in the swing of this so called thing called LIFE!!!
PS- sorry about last year....but I know this year 2008 is going to be your best yet!!! Always remember this verse "I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me" - I had a few years like that after 9/11 so I know how hard it can be to be focused on all our blessings in order to move ahead.

For sure, don't throw stuff out. Sometimes I find my older stuff to be refreshing and fun again after a long time of not seeing/using it!
SO, be patient.
Browse the galleries here.
Check out the challenges/tutroials board for more ideas/inspiration.
And take it slow.
Start with an atc card.
Or just make a small book about any topic.
Or scraplift a layout.
Anything that just gets you creating again.
most importantly...use stuff you love and have fun!!

Sometimes when I get in that funk I go throught scrap Mag or look at some of your friends lo. Maybe that would inspire you a little!
